Dems Were Given a Chance to Put Their Money Where Their Mouth Is on Epstein Files – Guess What Happened

As with all things involving the Democrat party, they are wholly uninterested in doing the right thing, uninterested in trying to get to the heart of the matter on the Epstein case, and uninterested in holding people accountable. They see everything through the prism of 'Get Trump.'

Sharon Osbourne Breaks Down Recalling Trump’s Message After Ozzy’s Death

The sweet message Trump took time out to send to the Osbournes is more proof that the radical claims aren't true and that nearly 75 million Americans can't all be wrong about him.

The Guests Dem AZ Rep Grijalva Invited to Her Swearing-in Ceremony Exposes Lefty Outrage As Cynical Stunt

So, mystery solved, readers. Victim grievance, virtue signaling, and ongoing "resistance" against Orange Man Bad are the Democrats' only game going forward and through the midterms. And like the shutdown, what exactly did they accomplish with their cynical stunt here?

Starmer Could Fall Soon

Go figure. The two-party system may suck, but having more than two viable parties can suck even more.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

So...they got it done. Finally, on Wednesday evening, the House voted to reopen the government — and sent the amended continuing resolution (CR), officially known as the "Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture (Ag), Legislative Branch, Military Construction (Milcon) and Veterans Affairs (VA), and Extensions Act, 2026," to President Trump's desk for signature. We'll be back to hearings and meetings and such next week.

There weren't many decisions of note from the courts on Wednesday, but Massachusetts District Judge Indira Talwani is remaining true to form.

MORNING MUSING

Okay, friends — it's one of those days. I'm battling a head cold and working with a short timeframe, and not a single thing of political relevance is finding its way into my brain this morning to muse on for you, so instead, I'm just going to share a funny/silly story:

The handsome beau and I went to dinner last night at a cute little Italian restaurant on The Hill in St. Louis. We thought about pizza, but I'd just had it recently, so was in the mood for something else...chicken, maybe. There, on the menu, was something that sounded exactly like what I was in the mood for: Chicken Ficcata.

If that prompts you to do a double-take, you're not alone. I'm not familiar with that dish either. Piccata? Yes. Ficcata? No. Well, as it turns out...it was Piccata (the description of the dish confirmed that). The right edge of the top of the "P" had simply been worn or smudged off the menu.

The beau looked at me rather quizzically when I first said I'd be getting the Ficcata. Then I showed him the menu with a wink. Which, in turn, reminded him of this scene from Seinfeld.

So, enjoy a chuckle this morning...and try the Ficcata!
