  • House Ways and Means — Field hearing in Chicago re: "The Dignity of Work: Lifting Individuals Out of Poverty"
  • Senate Armed Services — Open and closed hearings to examine the President's proposed budget request for fiscal year 2025 for the Department of Defense and Future Years Defense Program
  • Senate Appropriations — Hearings to examine proposed budget estimates and justification for fiscal year 2025 for the Air Force and Space Force
  • Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs — Hearings to examine an update from the Department of Treasury, focusing on countering illicit finance, terrorism, and sanctions evasion

MORNING MUSING

I came this close...Two of my NCAA brackets were busts by the Elite Eight, but one was still in the mix heading into Monday night. I'd initially picked Baylor to win it all, but right before I submitted it, I switched to UConn besting them in the Final Four, and then Purdue winning it all. Had the Boilermakers managed to pull off the win, I'd have won that pool. Ah well, I'll have to content myself with basking in the glory of what might have been...
