It surprised absolutely no one on the right to see the hyperventilating from Democrat politicos in the aftermath of news breaking on the United States' capture of the illegitimate "leader" of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on Saturday.
As RedState reported, the Usual Suspects were beside themselves over the fact that the former dictator of the South American country was now in U.S. custody after long being on the United States' radar over allegations of narco-terrorism and drug trafficking, among others.
A bounty of $15 million was put on Maduro in the last year of the first Trump administration, something that was increased to $25 million in the final weeks of Joe Biden's sole term in office, and which was raised one more time to $50 million after President Trump took office for his second term.

Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), for instance, proclaimed this weekend that "This is reckless. And the American people are just, this morning, in fear of what's going to happen here." Schumer, who is trying to stave off a 2028 primary challenge, went on to suggest that "If [Republicans] really wanted to do what the American people wanted, they'd be focusing on cost of living, not on some escapade in Venezuela, which could only lead to trouble."
But amid such talk, which for some Democrats has escalated to calls for impeachment, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) wasn't having it, noting on Monday during a Fox News interview something we've documented as well: That many Democrats, including Schumer, were for removing Maduro from power before they suddenly were against it:
"I don’t know why we can't just acknowledge that it’s been a good thing what's happened. I mean, I’ve seen the speeches from... whether it's Leader Schumer or past tweets from President Biden. You know, we all wanted this man gone, and now he is gone. I think we should really appreciate exactly what happened here."
[...]
“Now, remember, we all... Democrats, years ago, wanted to eliminate him, and why have a bounty of $25 million if we didn’t want him gone? Why would you do these things if you weren't willing to actually do something other than harsh language?"
[...]
"Let’s remember, eight million Venezuelans were displaced and mass chaos, and now they were shipping drugs to our nation as well."

And he did it by pointing out facts Democrats really don’t want to talk about, calling out Schumer and Biden directly.

Fetterman's argument speaks to the point Secretary of State Marco Rubio made in the aftermath of Maduro's capture, pointing out that President Trump doesn't just talk about doing something. He's not a gameplayer like Maduro was. He actually does what he says he's going to do:
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Marco Rubio LAYS THE HAMMER on Maduro - and warns the entire world

"He likes to PLAY GAMES and thinks NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. I hope people understand President Trump is NOT A GAME PLAYER!"
"He wanted to play BIG BOY?"
"IF YOU DON'T KNOW, NOW YOU KNOW."
