As RedState has documented, the D.C. assault case involving Edward "Big Balls" Coristine is one of several high-profile incidents that prompted President Donald Trump to commence with a crime crackdown in our nation's capital back in early August.
Coristine, a 19-year-old former DOGE staffer, reportedly came to the defense of a young woman, who the police report described as his "significant other," in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 3rd, amid what was thought to be an attempted carjacking. Photos taken in the aftermath showed Coristine looking bloody and battered from an apparent assault.
Though police are still looking for other suspects, two teenagers - a male and a female, both 15 - were arrested and charged with an unarmed carjacking.

In an update to this story, Coristine appeared on Fox News for an interview on Monday to talk to host Jesse Watters about that night and what he says happened:
"I was walking one of my friends back to her car, and as we're walking to the car, there's a group of 10 guys right across the street," Coristine recalled. "They start shouting at us. And really quickly, I knew something was really off about the situation."
The 19-year-old said that he rushed his female friend into the driver's seat, and she locked herself in the car before the attack began.
"They're just a few feet away and they slammed me against the car," Coristine said. "They started throwing a bunch of punches. I keep my hands up…luckily, the whole thing didn't last too long."
"The police showed up pretty quickly, so I was very fortunate I only came out with a broken nose and a concussion," he added. "It could have been a lot worse."
Additionally, Coristine noted that he knew he had to stay on his feet because if they took him to the ground, the situation could have gotten worse. This prompted Watters to quip that "Big Balls also has Big Brains" for being able to think on his feet in the middle of the assault.
After Watters pointed to the fact that Coristine saved his female friend, Coristine also shared a theory about the alleged motive for the attackers, noting that the carjacking motive didn't make sense to him.
"The carjacking didn't make a lot of sense," he said, "because like it was the cheapest car on the block, so it felt like there might have been something else going on there."
In other words, he may have saved his female friend from something much worse.

As for the two teenage suspects, the male recently pled guilty in juvenile court to "felony assault, simple assault, robbery and attempted robbery." The female suspect will also get her day in juvenile court in October.
There were concerning reports just after Labor Day weekend suggesting that the defense and prosecution "indicated that they may commence preliminary plea talks." I guess we'll find out one way or the other when the male suspect is sentenced, which is expected to happen in late October, according to NBC Washington.
Editor's Note: President Trump isn't going to allow lawlessness to reign in America. We will not have a repeat of 2020's "Summer of Love."
