One of the main reasons DNC Vice Chair David Hogg is on the outs with the national party machine is his push to challenge incumbent Democrats in primaries, particularly those whom he views as entrenched and out of touch with Democrat Party voters.
As RedState's Bob Hoge reported, the issue boiled to a head during a Democrat National Committee credentials committee vote Monday night, which "[voided] the results of the internal party vote that made David Hogg a party vice chair, ruling that the election had not followed proper parliamentary procedures."
Though the full DNC will also need to vote on it, Hogg saw the writing on the wall in the aftermath, noting in a statement that "it is also impossible to ignore the broader context of my work to reform the party which loomed large over this vote."

While it's been amusing to watch the Democrat infighting play out, perhaps even more, shall we say, "interesting" was seeing Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) appearing to be fast asleep during a House Energy and Commerce Committee markup of budget reconciliation text on Tuesday.
A video that looks to have been taken by an audience member shows Dingell, who is 71, lying back in her chair and apparently snoozing:

Though the meeting was on the calendar for 2 pm, some reports indicate this was an "overnight markup marathon," which means Dingell likely was enjoying a brief early morning nap in the middle of what she was supposed to be doing: conducting business on behalf of her constituents.
Perhaps with the thought in mind that the Congressional seat she holds has been held by someone with the last name Dingell since 1933 (from John Dingell Sr. to his son John Dingell Jr. in 1955 to his wife, Debbie, four years before his 2019 passing), Hogg was immediately paged by Twitter/X netizens after the sleeping video was shared:

As was Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who recently announced his support for Ohio Republican lawmakers who are advocating a constitutional amendment for term limits for members of Congress:

Relatedly, not sure if this was from the same markup/hearing, but there was also this:

Another @HouseDemocrats is asleep β this time itβs @janschakowsky https://t.co/RNw6W37YEp pic.twitter.com/mq6onS1hWm
Schakowsky, who is 80, said in March that she would not run for reelection in 2026 after holding Illinois' 9th District Congressional seat for 14 terms, a span of nearly three decades (since 1999).
The sleeping Congressperson thing was apparently bipartisan, as two-term Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT) had to be woken up during another committee's overnight markup session:

Guess there's no room in the various budgets for cots and coffee?
