If it doesn't seem like it was that long ago that Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) was being blasted by Republicans and even some Democrats for convincing Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to essentially scrap the Senate's dress code so Fetterman could come to work wearing gym shorts and a hooded sweatshirt, it's because it indeed wasn't that long ago.

But not long after Sen. Fetterman faced heat from Republicans in September 2023 over not just his "sloppy casual" Senate floor attire but also his concerning public appearances where it was clear that all was not well, the Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) bribery indictment happened. Then Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,200 Israeli civilians in acts of war. And Joe Biden's border crisis got even worse.

And in the midst of it all, Fetterman... started making sense, hitting back at and trolling the pro-Hamas left with his unabashed displays of support for Israel. He also admitted Joe Biden's border crisis was indeed a crisis, and has called for the resignation or expulsion of Menendez.

While conservatives continue to debate on just exactly what the turning point was for "Fetterman 2.0" as some of my colleagues have referred to him, there are other questions as well, such as where is Gisele Fetterman?

Mrs. Fetterman, who became a media darling during John Fetterman's 2022 Senate campaign after the debilitating stroke he suffered in May of that same year, used to be a near-daily fixture on Twitter, taking on critics while also retweeting messages of support from people who wore rose-colored glasses when it came to how it seemed Mrs. Fetterman enjoyed the spotlight way too much for someone who had previously suggested in so many words was happy to merely play a background "supporting role" in the daily life of her Senator husband.

But it was recently noticed that Gisele Fetterman is not only not on Twitter anymore, but that she deleted her account altogether:

Though it's hard to figure out exactly when she did it, it appears to have happened sometime after July 2023, according to Internet archive records.

As to the reason why, no one knows for sure. Some have speculated it might be due to Twitter harassment, which is entirely possible. Twitter isn't really a fun place no matter who you are, but especially for obnoxious public figures like Gisele Fetterman, who once despicably likened herself to a rape victim and who has used her position to try and silence critics.

Between that and the criticism she's faced for coming off as the callous, fame-seeking spouse of a stroke victim, perhaps that's why she's not on the Twitter machine anymore.

But another theory is that she's off the social media platform due to her husband's apparent political metamorphosis on some issues, especially on the border crisis considering talk about how she was once an illegal immigrant herself was once all the rage in elite media circles.

It should be noted for the record that Mrs. Fetterman has not completely dropped out of public life, as evidenced by the most recent round of media fangirling:

Further, Gisele Fetterman was active on her public Facebook account as late as mid-December, a month after posting that she was "on a social media break that may last a month or forever."

Whatever the reason for her Twitter account deletion, you won't have too many people shedding tears over it. Twitter is already a rotten enough place as it is, and one less annoying person on it is a welcomed occurrence in my book.
