Jen Psaki Insults Our Intelligence When Asked About Biden Not Being ‘Most Effective Communicator'

Perhaps because Jen Psaki will soon be leaving her post as White House press secretary for a cushy gig on MSNBC’s “Peacock” streaming service, the notoriously dishonest frontwoman for President Joe Biden has decided to just let it rip in her final days in office with a level of gaslighting that would make even Baghdad Bob blush.

As we previously reported, Psaki has made a number of wild claims recently including during an interview with CNN+ host Chris Wallace. In one, she inadvertently demonstrated exactly why we need laws like Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education” law when she in so many words argued that the law was the solution to a problem that “I don’t think exists” (it does). She also preposterously proclaimed in the same interview that Biden is not in any way sheltered from the press even though Wallace dropped facts galore on her that suggested otherwise.

During a Wednesday Bipartisan Policy Center/White House Correspondents Association discussion panel hosted by NBC News senior White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell, Psaki was at it again, this time after being asked by O’Donnell about the “perception” that Joe Biden is not very good at getting the message out.

Here’s how their exchange went down:

O’DONNELL: So that’s interesting to hear you [Biden senior adviser Cedric Richmond] say that because I think outside observers would not always view this president as the most effective communicator himself. He has at times been criticized for not being able to carry his message. At times, he’s also very folksy and is able to connect with people one on one. But this White House has struggled at times with the message on issues whether it’s COVID, whether it’s the domestic agenda. You’ve also been, of course, hit with lots of issues, as every White House is that are not of your own making that are the forces that happen to any White House. Do you feel that the president is at times frustrated by how he is perceived as his own messenger?

PSAKI: It’s an interesting question. Look, I think every president probably is frustrated at moments when they are not, do not feel like their views, their passions, their policies are being heard and digested. There’s lots of reasons for that. You know, there are good questions that, I know this is not a panel about this, but like, are long speeches still effective means of communicating with the public? Probably not, right? I mean, we know that because … there’s a lot of ways that people digest information. Would he like to be traveling a lot more out in the country? We’ve been talking about this for a while.

I mean, he’s traveling three times this week, and in some ways I look at – there are limitations that have been imposed upon him and us because of COVID that I think have not allowed people to see at all times what his magic is, right?

Watch:

Uhhhm, who is she trying to fool here? The COVID pandemic only limited Biden’s ability to visit places, not his ability to speak altogether. Whether or not someone is an effective messenger, they can still speak just as clearly on an Internet live feed as they can in person.

But let’s be crystal clear here: Not only is Joe Biden not an effective messenger in any way shape, form, or fashion, but the public speaking “limitations” set upon him came directly from Biden’s handlers in the White House including Psaki, who saw that hiding him in the basement for much of the 2020 campaign season, ostensibly on grounds that he was trying to keep himself and others “safe” during the coronavirus outbreak, was a useful tactic that helped them minimize the damage that inevitably occurs whenever the press is given access to him and he opens his mouth and speaks extemporaneously.

Even when he does give speeches, whether it’s at the White House or when he’s traveling, the comms staff still puts limitations on him, preventing him from talking to reporters when he’s done and herding the press away like cattle in hopes he won’t embarrass them again by saying something they’ll have to walk back later.

As I said before, Baghdad Bob would blush if he was around to hear the amount of gaslighting coming from Psaki since it was revealed that she’d be headed for the exits and to MSNBC in mid-May. She’s proving more and more every day why she’ll be a perfect fit for the network. The only question that remains is who will take her place in the role of Biden’s Chief Minister of Truth? It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it…
