I wrote earlier this week about how CNN’s resident “fact-checker” Daniel Dale had recently sounded the final death knell for mainstream media fact-checking. He’s been laying the groundwork for months but made it official with his pathetic “review” of President Joe Biden’s first 100 days, where the word “lie” was not used a single time – on purpose, as he explained in a tweet.
Sadly, Dale is not the only prominent fact-checker who made a mockery of his industry over the last couple of weeks. In a bizarre development, the Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler has taken to whitesplaining Sen. Tim Scott’s family history, with the left-wing “journalists” at NPR eagerly giving him an assist.
Politifact, too, hit the accelerator on the Clown Car Express in a recent “fact check” where they made excuses for Biden falsely characterizing Georgia’s new voting law as “Jim Crow on steroids,” as Newsbusters executive editor Tim Graham explained in his column yesterday.
Tim and I sat down Wednesday to talk about CNN buffoonery, the death of fact-checking and to ponder on why Oliver Darcy would see fit to block lil’ ol’ me. 😉
