Ric Grenell Swoops in With a Dunk After Ron Johnson Clocks Chuck Todd During Heated Election Fraud Debate

As my RedState colleague Alex Parker previously reported, “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) got into a heated debate Sunday about President Trump’s allegations of election fraud.

For those who missed it, Todd accused Johnson of being an “arsonist” for Trump on the matter, but Johnson blasted back by pointing fingers at the media and left for first “starting fires” about alleged stolen elections by treating Trump as an illegitimate president for four years and by “dropping any pretense” of objectivity by picking sides in this election:

This was started when the mainstream media stopped, dropped any pretense of being unbiased and actually chose sides during this election. This fire was started when you completely ignored, for example, our investigation of Hunter Biden. You know, no evidence of wrongdoing there. And now we find out after the election, no, there is a fair amount of evidence to the point that we have a real FBI investigation. So-

This fire was lit over four years ago. And we’ve destroyed the credibility, you have destroyed the credibility of the news media by your bias. And of course people like James Comey, Andrew McCabe, John Brennan destroyed the credibility of the FBI and our justice system as well. We have an enormous problem in this country. It’s unsustainable. And the only way you solve it is with information, and transparency, and hearings, and investigations. It’s not quackery, it’s not conspiracy theory. It’s what’s going to be required.

Johnson got the best of Todd during the segment, so much so that the NBC News host cut their back and forth short.

Former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, who is no stranger to being on the receiving end of liberal media bias, watched the Newsbusters clip of Johnson’s battle with Todd, and swooped in with this dunk:

Right after he posted that tweet he discovered that Todd (shockingly!) had him blocked:

Todd is one of those national media reporters who likes to pretend he and his “objective” colleagues are above the partisan antics of his co-workers on the opinion side at NBC News HQ. So, naturally, he is super-sensitive to charges from Republicans like Sen. Johnson that he and the reporters he works with are biased and pick sides.

Unfortunately for Todd, his interviews with and reports on Republicans tell the true story of his Democratic partisanship, as do those of the other supposedly “politically neutral” anchors at the network.

In case you missed the interview, watch the highlight reel below:

Johnson is one of nearly a dozen GOP Senators who have said they will voice objections to the electoral vote count scheduled to take place Wednesday during a joint session of Congress. As they say, stay tuned!
