Apparently the Biden campaign has decided to embrace Joe Biden’s darker side right along with “journalists” and various political commentators. Because they must Protect The Precious™.

For example, as my RedState colleague Streiff wrote earlier, media figures and Never Trumpers are actually spinning as “terrific” a disturbing video making the rounds of Biden aggressively confronting a voter who stood his ground on his Second Amendment rights.

In case you missed it, here’s the video where Biden tells the voter he’s “full of sh*t”, then orders a female campaign aide to “shush” twice after she tries to shut down the argument and move things along. Biden then proceeds to angrily confront the voter:

It also sounded like at one point in the video Biden threatened to slap the auto worker:

Because they can’t contain Biden when he goes off script, the Biden campaign is now absurdly trying to frame Biden’s meltdown as a good look that will go over well with voters.

Seriously.

Here’s Biden campaign director of rapid response Andrew Bates offering to pay Republicans to share the clip in response to a CNN commentator who opined that he didn’t think the video would hurt the candidate:

Hilariously, our own Streiff offered to take him up on the offer:

Heh.

On a more serious note, it goes without saying that this is not normal behavior, but unfortunately it’s been a pattern with Biden that goes back for quite some time, including when he practically yelled at Elizabeth Warren during a debate last year after she refused to give him credit for a legislative accomplishment. He’s also yelled at journalists and called another voter “fat” after a contentious back and forth about the Hunter Biden/Burisma issue.

The Biden campaign might be offering to pay people to share the video clip now, but that clip is going to come back to bite them in a general election campaign, especially in midwestern states that Biden will need to defeat Trump. When it’s all said and done, Bates and Co. may very well end up eating their words if their candidate keeps this up.

Stay tuned.
