Most conservatives have learned from past experiences that anytime you criticize a black Democrat, you are automatically going to be accused of racism. No matter how legitimate the criticism is. This started way before the presidency of Barack Obama, happened with increasing frequency during the Obama years, and continues to happen to this very day.
Liberal “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Ellen Pompeo, who supported Hillary Clinton‘s candidacy in 2016, learned this lesson the hard way after last week’s Democratic debates. She made the mistake of characterizing Sen. Kamala Harris’s debate performance as “overconfident” – and was promptly accused of, you guessed it, racism.
Here’s what Pompeo wrote that sparked the backlash:
Because she’s overconfident and believes he is her only competition https://t.co/HYPRXtoLIr

Concern trolls read her the riot act for daring to criticize the California Senator:
You have no words for Biden who was handed the top polling place for just showing up. I'm embarrassed that a few days ago I held you up as a good example of being an ally. Sen. Harris worked hard to get where she is. She's not overconfident. She's a strong black woman.

Let me be very clear this was racist

It's disappointing that you single out the black woman as "overconfident" when she is actually defending her record against the frontrunner whose campaign has been solely fighting her, calling her "slippery and slick" and other slurs. On that stage Biden was her only competition.

Wow I disagree with that. Is overconfident the acceptable way of saying uppity? Every single person on the stage was confident but somehow the black woman……. White women need to do better, be the change we need. ..

Pompeo pushed back against the accusation she was engaging in racism in a series of tweets, but in the end it didn’t matter. Social media being what it is, the online Resistance Mob™ had declared Pompeo a racist and that was the end of it.
Something Pompeo’s detractors probably don’t know about her is that it would be kinda hard for the actress to harbor any racist tendencies. Her husband Chris Ivery is black. They have three children together:

To be sure, that’s not a “get out of jail free” card anymore to the left, especially when you consider how the Congressional Black Caucus subtly accused Latina Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) of racism because her Justice Democrats group is targeting several black Democratic lawmakers in the 2020 primaries. This came just days after Ocasio-Cortez played the “Woman of Color” card on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for daring to criticize The Squad.
Republicans were racists because they opposed Obamacare. Those who support President Trump are, by default, called “racists.” Nancy Pelosi was a racist because she had the audacity to scold The Squad. Ocasio-Cortez was a racist because she opposes certain Congressional Black Caucus members. Pompeo is racist because she thought Sen. Harris should have done things differently at the last debate.
As Trump and many others have said so many times before, Democrats have made it so the word “racism’ has no meaning anymore outside of what they declare it to mean at any given moment. It’s sad, shameful, and unfortunately they are aided and abetted by a complicit mainstream media.
