Did Democrats Seriously Call the Capitol Police on Trump for Accusing Them of Sedition?

House Democratic leaders, including Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, contacted the U.S. Capitol Police and the House sergeant-at-arms to request protection for four representatives who appeared in a video message encouraging military troops to defy orders from their superiors that they deem illegal.

Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), Maggie Goodlander (NH-2), and Jason Crow (CO-6), along with Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), tried agitating some troops and intelligence officials into potentially illegal actions of their own by defying orders they personally interpret as unlawful.

It was a startling effort. The message was clear. They laid it out quite clearly, referencing "this administration" and how it is supposedly "pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens."

By phrasing it in that manner, they are demanding people rise up when it comes to immigration enforcement efforts or missions to clean up crime in blue cities. Democrats already view such actions as unlawful, so *wink, wink* you folks in the Army, Navy, and Air Force should too.

President Trump, who has no trouble calling out Democrats engaged in seditious behavior, called out Democrats for their seditious behavior, adding that once upon a time, such a crime was "punishable by death."

And with that, Democrats ran to the Capitol Police for protection. Because they're legitimately scared ... or something.

It's hard to believe, but House Democratic leadership, according to a report by Axios, reached out to authorities because, they claim, the President had issued "death threats."

No seriously. Death threats.

"We unequivocally condemn Donald Trump's disgusting and dangerous death threats," a joint statement from Jeffries, Minority Whip Katherine Clark (MA-5), and Democratic caucus chair Pete Aguilar (CA-33) said. "We have been in contact with the House Sergeant at Arms and the United States Capitol Police to ensure the safety of these Members and their families."

So brave. So stunning.

The triumvirate of snowflakes demanded that Trump "immediately delete" his social media posts and "recant his violent rhetoric before he gets someone killed."

Emboldened by the silliness, Crow decided to crank things up a notch by contacting the Capitol Police and demanding they investigate the President for allegedly "intimidating, threatening, and concerning" social media posts.

These people want you to think they're tough enough to resist Trump at every corner, but are super-triggered by the ol' mean tweets. Can you imagine being stationed with the Capitol Police and being placed on the Trump's Mean Tweets case?

An email from Crow's office, obtained by Axios, is a work of art.

"Good afternoon," they write. "I write to report threats made by the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, against Congressman Jason Crow."

Is this real life? First of all, categorizing Trump's post as a "threat" is an Olympic gold medalist-level of mental gymnastics.

Second, as Axios reports, Crow's request is little more than a "long shot." He's just posturing. It might even be laying the groundwork for impeachment should the midterms give them control of the House.

Third, maybe the Capitol Police should be investigating these Democrats for tying up their resources in mundane witch hunts instead.

Did anybody call the police when Nancy Pelosi accused Trump of sedition? How many times have Democrats accused the President of treason, also punishable by death? How many times did they literally have him "arrested and put on trial," which Crow's office lists as the first threat worthy of investigation?

President Trump, in an interview with Fox News' Brian Kilmeade, explained that he is not, in fact, threatening anybody.

"I'm not threatening death, but I think they're in serious trouble. In the old days, it was death," he explained. "That was seditious behavior, that was a big deal."

"Today, nothing's a big deal. Today's a different world. It's a softer—It's a meeker, milder world."

Democrats proved how soft they are by calling the police.
