Sen Elissa Slotkin Admits Dems Lack ‘Alpha Energy,’ Are Terrified of What Their Base Says About Them on X

In one of the least shocking developments of the day, Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) has admitted that her party is sorely lacking in "alpha energy" and that she hears colleagues openly saying they are terrified of what their unhinged base will think of them on social media.

Yes, that's right, the party that gave you this is not exactly exuding "alpha energy," according to one of their more prominent senators.

What, White Dudes for Harris and guys like Paternity Pete Buttigieg and Jazz Hands Tim Walz aren't inspiring toughness?

Slotkin isn't alone. Even Barack Obama, famous for wearing mom jeans while throwing baseballs and missing nearly every shot from every angle on a basketball court, has suggested his party needs to grow thicker skin.

“I think it’s going to require a little bit less navel-gazing and a little less whining and being in fetal positions," Obama said in advising his party on how to cope with the Golden Era of Trump. "And it’s going to require Democrats to just toughen up."

Bear in mind, this is how Obama works out.

Slotkin, in an interview with PBS's Margaret Hoover, recalled how she has previously demanded the Democrat party reclaim their "alpha energy" and stop being "so damned scared."

The Michigan Senator believes she and Obama are kind of on the same page here as she chided the left for being "too sensitive."

How sensitive? Sensitive to the point where they end up in the fetal position, worrying about what their unhinged base on X might think of them.

"You know, I’ve been shocked – you know, I’m new to the Senate, six months in – how many of my peers said, well, Elissa, I’d love to be with you on that issue, but, you know, Twitter will be mad," she said. "You know, the internet, people will be mad at me."

One has to wonder how many times President Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, or Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem have hedged on a tough position because they're worried about what people on the socials think.

The over/under on that is 0.5, by the way.

Honestly, if your morals are guided by concerns about people on the internet, then you have no morals at all. But then, we already knew that about the Democratic Party.

Slotkin says she's "literally" heard Democrats say they're afraid of people on X.

"There’ll be a bad online response," she said, explaining what keeps her colleagues cowering in a corner.

If we're being fair, however, perhaps the opposition party has a right to be a little terrified. As RedState reported, numerous congressional Democrats have been confronted at town halls and told they need to "be willing to get shot" to stop the Trump administration.

They got their base whipped into a frenzy for the past ten years with incendiary rhetoric, and now Democrats are paying the price.

Editor's Note: President Trump isn't going to allow lawlessness to reign in America. We will not have a repeat of 2020's "Summer of Love."
