Anger has been brewing at Democratic town hall events as the fractured party is fighting between those who are trying to navigate the new Trump administration calmly and those who want to see more action.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has been pushing the narrative that it is Republican voters who are showing outrage over Trump and DOGE Chief Elon Musk at these events.
"Republicans are taking heat from their constituents for not standing up against Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s destructive agenda in town halls in deep red districts in Georgia, Wisconsin, Alaska, and Oregon," the DNC claimed in a statement last month.
They describe "angry crowds" and "frustrated constituents" at GOP-led events.
But a new report via Axios indicates Democrats are getting just as much, if not more, anger and frustration. And the theme seems to be an escalation in actions. The rabid, presumably more progressive people lashing out at Democrat town halls are calling for violence.
One such event actually left a lawmaker in tears.
A senior House Democrat told the outlet "that a colleague called them after a town hall crying and said: 'They hate us. They hate us.'"
The report goes on to dig into other demands these voters are making. They want Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to resign over recently backing down and supporting a Republican-backed spending bill to avert a government shutdown. They want repercussions for those who dared to point out that the radical Democrats protesting President Trump's address to Congress were juvenile and obnoxious.
Perhaps most frightening, they seem to want to see more violence.
"Another thing I got was: 'Democrats are too nice. Nice and civility doesn't work. Are you prepared for violence?'" the senior member of Congress said.
There are only two ways to interpret that - Either 'step up your game, or we're coming after you,' or 'When do you plan to call for violence yourself?'

The calls for violence, however, have already been frequent and obvious. The left, right now, has a monopoly on that. Just take a look at the numerous Tesla dealerships that have been firebombed in recent weeks.
Instead of toning things down, prominent Democrats have been amplifying the rhetoric. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) warned her constituents of a looming civil war. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) threatened that they were "gonna fight" Trump's agenda "in the streets. Congress’ most woke race warrior, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), warned Republicans that they "are gonna be in yo face and "on your a**es!"
It would appear the dog whistle went out, and the unhinged resistance warriors followed their marching orders.
The Tesla attacks are getting worse.

Arson. Molotov cocktails. Bouts of gunfire.
This isn't new. The Left has used violence as a political tool for decades.
Only one thing can stop this. In the words of Pat Buchanan: "Force, rooted in justice, and backed by moral courage." 🧵 pic.twitter.com/hajT2vFJ5c
It hasn't been enough for the bloodthirsty town hall attendees. "Are you prepared for violence?" That doesn't sound like people who wish to reel things in.
Arizona Sens. Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego, according to CNN, had constituents urge them to “fight dirtier” and “get in the mud” with Republicans. Hecklers had to be forcibly removed at an event in Colorado for Sen. Michael Bennet and U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen as one person demanded action because you "can't compromise with fascists." Others erupted at a town hall held by Illinois Rep. Sean Casten, demanding Democrats "actually fighting for once."
Violence has become a theme at these town halls. The question is, will Democrats do anything to keep their base in check? Will they publicly denounce the attacks on Tesla dealerships and owners? Or will they let the rage continue until we're dealing with more and more arsons that will make the race riots of 2020 look like child's play?
Crying about it and lamenting that "they hate us" isn't nearly enough.
