Sen. John McCain’s casket was carried through the rain and into the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol building where he will lie in state until Saturday.

Senators from both parties joined McCain’s family, including his 106-year-old mother Roberta, in the rotunda to pay their respects, where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Vice President Mike Pence spoke.
