It looks like things are getting a bit frantic now for the Iranian regime.
We reported that the U.S. blockade of their ports has left them scrambling to deal with the economic and structural fallout. Because they can't ship out their oil as they had been doing, their storage ability at Kharg Island is backing up, which is days away from causing a major problem. So they even pulled in a 30-year-old tanker to try to gain some additional storage for just a couple of days. It shows their options are dwindling. And all of this is hitting the regime right in the wallet.

Now, on Saturday, the Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has made a statement. calling for action from the Iranian people to deal with the crisis in the country. I have to believe that this is going to infuriate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian:

The enemy is attacking our infrastructure and putting us under siege so that people become dissatisfied.
We currently do not need the people's sacrifice, but we request that people reduce electricity and energy consumption.
For example, at home instead of having 10 lights on, let 2 lights be on. What is wrong with that?
Pezeshkian said the government aims to “control consumption” of electricity, according to The Associated Press.
He also admitted that the U.S. and Israel “destroyed our infrastructure,” and noted that the U.S. imposed a blockade on Iran’s ports. Oh my, did that get cleared by the powers that be? He's admitting they have been so harmed?
Pezeshkian posted a tweet a couple of days ago, claiming there were no moderates, and that's certainly true. But he is the only one who acknowledges at least a little bit of reality about what a bad situation they are in. He'd previously reportedly ranted that they were "weeks from collapse." That report was eleven days ago.

Of course, he's doing a bit of spin there. The people are upset because of 47 years of oppression and how the regime has spent all their money on terror proxies. He can't blame the U.S. for that.
The looks on the faces of the guys around him are funny, too. They look very uneasy, like "Oh, why is he saying that?" and if they could, they would dig a hole in the ground and crawl in.
The fact that he says they do not need the sacrifice convinces me they do. Otherwise, why say it? We're only about 12 days into the blockade, and already they're clearly flailing. And it's just going to get worse, as the U.S. keeps turning the economic screws.
Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
