President Donald Trump caught a lot of flak for his very critical statement about Pope Leo on crime and on the conflict in Iran.
Trump appeared to think that the Pope had crossed over into politics with his comments. In his comments, Trump also pointed out how the Pope had a recent meeting with a former Obama advisor, David Axelrod, as the Pope was making critical comments about the Trump administration.

Trump's Border Czar, Tom Homan, then made an important statement to the media. He said, as a lifelong Catholic, "I wish they’d stay out of immigration; they don’t know what they’re talking about." He explained how it's harmful, mistaken empathy.
🚨 WOW. Border Czar Tom Homan just gave the PERFECT response to Pope Leo

"Because if they wore my shoes for 40 years, and talked to a 9-year-old girl that got raped multiple times, or stood in the back of a tractor-trailer with 19 dead aliens at my feet, including a 5-year-old boy that baked to death, if they understood the atrocities that happened on the open border, I think their opinion would change!"
The policy that they falsely think is "cruel" is saving lives, he explained, in addition to enforcing the law.
"And I welcome discussion with any of them, because they don't understand illegal immigration is not a victimless crime."
"Where President Trump had the most secure border in the lifetime of this nation, right now, lives are being saved,"
"Human traffickers are out of business, right? The cartels are going bankrupt because of that secure border. I wish they'd understand that."
"Because if they did, I think they'd have a different opinion."
Now, I don't know what the conversation with Axelrod was about, and I'm quite curious if it pertained to the Trump administration in any way. Axelrod is not Catholic. The Pope is from Chicago, as are both Barack Obama and Axelrod.
Democrats and their operatives in the media spread a lot of nonsense when it comes to illegal immigration and enforcement. We see right now the outlandish tales that they spread about ICE.

But if the Pope truly wanted to have a better understanding of illegal immigration, he should sit down with Tom Homan. And how about hearing what the victims of illegal alien crime had also had to deal with? Homan would likely deal with what I think are a lot of misperceptions that the Pope might have, and explain a little reality to him. The Trump team should do exactly that — offer the Vatican a briefing on illegal immigration and other topics.

Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
