The news coming from CNN has not been good for Democrats lately.
As we reported on Sunday, even Democratic voters don't have any faith in where the party is headed. They don't think they are the party with strong leaders, and a vast majority of Democrats don't think their party is the one that can get things done. That followed a focus group survey that indicated the American public in general viewed them like "sloths" and "tortoises" when comparing them to animals. That's not exactly a sterling take for them.

Now CNN's senior data analyst Harry Enten has more bad news.
Ever since President Donald Trump took office for the second time, the media has been trying to bash him on the question of tariffs, and even predicting things like a recession. That caused the stock market to bounce around because people were concerned with all the doom-casting.
But even with all that, Enten's figures still had bad news for Democrats. He said you would expect Democrats would have a massive lead on the economy in the polling but "It ain't so!"

"How is that possible, Democrats?!"
"Democrats have traditionally been the party of the middle class. NO MORE...! Adios, amigos!"

Enten revealed the Republicans were still up on the economy by eight points in terms of "party closer to your economic views."
He explained it wasn't just one poll, either. That Reuters/Ipsos poll had Republicans up even higher in terms of "party with the better economic plan."
"This speaks to Democratic problems on the economy basically better than anything you can possibly look at," Enten declared. Republicans still hold the advantage on this most important issue of the day, he said.
Which is the party of the middle class? Democrats used to have a huge advantage in this area in 1989, but now it's tied in this poll. "This speaks to Democratic ills more than anything else," Enten said again.
"They have traditionally been the party of the middle class. No more! Donald Trump and the Republican Party have taken that mantle away and now a key advantage that Democrats had historically has gone away. Adios, amigos!"
The American people are intelligent. They were alive for the four years of Joe Biden. They haven't forgotten how bad things were under the Democrats. They may have questions about tariffs, but they have trust in Trump and the Republicans. They don't see Democrats offering any answers. Even Democrats don't see them offering answers.
Meanwhile, consumer confidence is up, inflation under Trump is down, personal income is growing, and the right track number is at historical highs.

Things are better under Trump and the Republicans, and the people know it.
This was my favorite response to the news.
At some point CNN is just going to have to cancel this segment. 🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/rLw22TvWZl
