Check Out the Sad Looking Protest Assembled Outside for Trump's Address, Which Dems Are Boycotting

President Donald Trump is delivering his address to Congress, and already, it's been a bang-up event. We're live blogging it, so come join us if you haven't already. He's been hitting the high points on what he wants to achieve for the American people, and he's brought some surprise guests as well.

As we reported earlier, Democrats were planning on doing dumb things to solidify how out of touch they are with the will of the American people who voted Trump in. Things like waving egg cartons or red flags, with some thinking of walking out during the address.

I think we can guarantee that they will be saying something they should regret.

Some are just throwing snits and not attending.

Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA), Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), Rep. Becca Balint (D-VT), Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are all reportedly skipping out.

So, not a lot overall, and the more extreme folks. Some did show up in pink to protest policies against women. Yet the Democrats are the ones with the harmful positions on women, such as being for men in women's sports.

Meanwhile, the protest that they assembled outside the event was just pitiful. Check out this sparse group.

Warning for graphic language:

I think there were more people in line at the donut place I went to this morning. And Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) wants us to think the American people are with them? They weren't with him during his remarks, and they weren't out in force at this protest.

They called for impeachment when he's only been in a month. They had a vile term for our country on a sign. They called to "Stop the Coup" — without explaining how there's a coup from a duly-elected president.

Then the energy was "low," and that's being kind. Some were just sitting around. How desperate are they? They were so bereft of thought they even had a lady trying to insult his golf game. And like with all the rest they have to say, that's a lie, too.

People had some fun mocking the poor showing.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) asked if USAID funds were "running thin."

Elon Musk jokes that the budget for the "paid protests is running low."

Not hardly. Some looked like they couldn't be more bored.
