Twitter Community Notes Just Leveled Another Big WH Lie About Parental Rights Law

Joe Biden and his White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre are constantly spewing things that are not true.

They are hardly ever called out by the liberal media fact-checkers.

But now with Twitter Community Notes, Biden has been busted multiple times for saying false things on the platform. Biden was called out for making false comments about the debunked “gender pay gap.” He’s also been caught on his continuing lie that Republicans are trying to push cuts in Social Security and Medicare, as well as on a statement about how much billionaires pay in taxes. On Friday, they smacked Biden with another check about his claim to be the most “pro-union” president ever, noting he’d made a move to back the railroad union from striking.

Now, Jean-Pierre is facing the sharp rebuke of the Twitter Community Notes as well. KJP was talking about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law which she falsely called “the state’s dystopian ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law.” She also falsely claimed that “under threat of having their licenses revoked, gay teachers have been forced to take down pictures of their spouses from their desks and censor their classroom materials.”

But Twitter Community Notes called out that lie, noting this wasn’t true, Florida teachers are not being told to take down photos of same-sex spouses.

“All teachers are encouraged to keep pictures of their families in the classroom,” according to the clarification provided to the union. “However, in K-3, it was cautioned against specific discussions in the event those discussions could be deemed classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity.”

….

In a motion just filed by the state to dismiss a lawsuit brought by Equality Florida, the state provided its most extensive guidance yet on the new law.

“There is no merit,” the motion reads, “to the suggestion that the statute restricts gay and transgender teachers from ‘put[ting] a family photo on their desk’ or ‘refer[ring] to themselves and their spouse (and their own children).’”

Those actions, according to the state, are not considered “instruction.”

Teachers are also free to “’respond if students discuss . . . their identities or family life,’” the motion reads, “and answer ‘questions about their families.'”

In other words, nothing that KJP or other Democrats are saying about the law is even close to being true.

In reality, this has nothing to do with cancel culture and everything to do with not trying to sexualize children or teach things that are not age-appropriate. The problem isn’t with the conservatives; the problem is with liberals like KJP that think that would be appropriate to be teaching such things to little kids. School isn’t supposed to be about indoctrination or pushing your political agenda on kids. But liberals think it is.

KJP wouldn’t be held to account by the liberal media. But now, at least on Twitter, she and Joe Biden can’t just lie with impunity anymore. They’re going to be nailed for it. And that’s a great thing.
