AOC Trips All Over Herself in Rant About Elon, Twitter Blue Checks

The meltdown of the liberal — formerly legacy blue check — brigade continues, as they moan and throw fits about Twitter head Elon Musk removing their blue checks.

“Journalist” Aaron Rupar said that everyone who now had a blue check (the folks who paid for it) should be blocked. Keith Olbermann tried to use an arrow to count as a blue check. Alyssa Milano threw a hilarious tantrum and asked if they could sue Musk for defamation, identity theft, or fraud. She was trying to use a blue diamond to make up for the missing check.

But there’s one more fit that we must address because it’s such an inaccurate, leftist rant.

Here’s Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) warning of the dire consequences that would result from this dastardly action by Musk.

“Jokes aside, this is setting the stage for major potential harm when a natural disaster hits and no one knows what agencies, reporters, or outlets are real,” AOC claimed. “Not long ago we had major flash floods. We had to mobilize trusted info fast to save lives. Today just made that harder.”

She cites a fake account trying to pretend to be the City of New York’s Twitter account. However, the problem with that argument is that official government accounts still have their labels.

Twitter Community Notes posted on her tweet and explained that what she was saying was not true.

Indeed, the note explained that both she and the @NYC.gov account still have their labels as government accounts.

So people will be able to tell which governmental agencies are real. It would have taken a couple of seconds to determine that what she was saying wasn’t true. Indeed, she knew she got to keep her government check, so that should have given her a big heads up. Yet, she couldn’t even bother to do that and ended up tripping all over herself. What does that say about her ability to assess anything honestly and with any kind of intelligence, when it comes to making a legislative decision on something?

As we can see in the case of AOC, in the event of a natural disaster, while you might want to be looking at a government account for some kind of information, if you’re counting on any kind of real information from AOC’s account, look elsewhere. And if you were looking for enlightenment from any of the tantrum-throwing people who used to have blue checks, the same thing. Who is going to look to Bette Midler or Alyssa Milano in the event of a disaster? Need we remind anyone as to Milano’s reaction to COVID — she who wore the crochet mask.

What media outlets are we supposed to be relying on in a disaster? The ones who lied to us about Russia collusion and COVID? It’s just possible that people were able to figure out what to do in an emergency without living on social media.

This is all about the entitled left who doesn’t want to pay $8 — when they are some of the few people in Joe Biden’s economy who can afford to pay for it.
