Trump Behaves in Typical Trumpian Fashion as He Arrives for Arraignment

All the focus on Tuesday was on the courthouse in Manhattan where former President Donald Trump was set to be arraigned.

As we reported earlier, it was a hot time by the courthouse with hundreds of protesters coming out and making a lot of noise. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was also present and she chastised the prosecution against Trump. She also lit into NYC Mayor Eric Adams for putting a target on her back. Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) lost his mind when she showed up. Rep. George Santos (R-NY) was also there, and gave the best response to the prying media as to why he was there, “Because I can.”

But the day was about Trump and dealing with political persecution. Trump wasn’t going to give them any satisfaction and in typical Trump fashion, gave a fist pump and waved as he left Trump Tower for the courthouse. He made it clear they aren’t breaking him.

Then when he got to the courthouse, he again waved to the assembled protesters before he went into the courthouse.

He’s now been processed by the police. There was reportedly an agreement not to have a mugshot. CNN was flipping out about that — thinking that might build him up more as a hero and it would be put on t-shirts and mugs, which might very well have happened. One of the few times that CNN might be right. This has already been a big boon to Trump’s donations, he’s now reportedly received over $8 million.

At some point, we’ll find out the specific nature of the charges, reportedly 34 counts. But as I noted, that might not be all it appears to be, as there’s a bit of charge or count stacking going on to make it look worse against Trump and more than it is. It’s bad enough that you have a former president and declared candidate for president being targeted but on top of that, they’re throwing every little thing they can up against the wall in the hope that something will stick. It’s a turkey of a case, but it is New York which is very liberal, so we’ll have to see how the jury comes down. Hopefully, even they see how ridiculous this is.

Trump’s attorney has also announced that he will be making a motion to dismiss the charges and there are some grounds that might have legs here. So we’ll have to see how that goes as well.
