Biden Is Met by Hundreds of Protesters in Michigan With That Chant

Joe Biden took a big defeat this past week in trying to pass his massive spending spree legislation. He didn’t get the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed and he found out that he wasn’t going to get the $3.5 trillion he was asking for on the reconciliation bill either.

He wasn’t able to get past the stalemate between the progressives and the moderates. Now he’s working — tail between his legs — on paring down the bill to a more reasonable number in the hopes that he can get recalcitrant Democrats to sign aboard it.

Biden is now hoping he can generate some support for the bill by going on the road. He was off to Michigan today, a critical swing state.

But the most popular guy ever was met by more protesters — a constant sight with which he has had to deal.

Such protesting also clearly disturbs him, since he mentioned it during his rant in Shanksville on 9/11. “What would the people who died be thinking?” Biden declared. “They think it makes sense to be doing this kinda thing where you ride down the street and see a sign that says ‘F so-and-so?’” How inappropriate on 9/11 to use the dead to protect himself from political criticism. But very revealing about his psyche.

So no doubt he wasn’t going to be happy today.

Hundreds of people were gathered along the highway to protest him about a mile from where he was to speak to Local 324 of the International Union of Operating Engineers’ Construction Career Center in Howell about his legislative agenda.

Here’s just a sample. Yes, there were again “F Joe Biden” chants in the crowd.

Warning for graphic language:

“Let’s Go Brandon” has become the substitute now for the “F Joe Biden” chant ever since an NBC reporter tried to claim a “F Joe Biden” chant was saying that to deflect from what they were actually saying.

Even in this visit, the problems within the Democratic Party — and the problems with Joe Biden’s agenda — were laid bare.

The union to whom he was speaking is in support of a tunnel by the Canadian company Enbridge to replace its Line 5 pipeline in the Straits of Mackinac. Meanwhile, many Joe Biden and many Democrats are doing all they can to kill our energy ability and do in pipelines in this country. The Democratic Party is specifically against this idea. Hey, prosperity, energy independence, lower-priced oil, and more jobs. Of course, they don’t want it.

But although Biden reportedly won Michigan, it’s not sounding like Michigan voters are liking the job that he has been doing. According to a recent poll of Michigan voters, 39% approved of his performance and 53% disapproved.

After nine months, in a critical swing state, that’s not boding well for Biden, his legislative agenda, or the Democrats’ 2022 aspirations.
