Report: Biden CBP Facilities Are a Horror Show With Kids Sleeping on the Floor and Going Hungry, and It Gets Worse

Whether the Biden wants to admit it or not, it’s a crisis at the border.

People are literally flooding in unchecked, as this video shows.

It should say south, not SE Texas.

The Biden team is claiming that their response is humane, but as this new, CBS News report explains, they’ve reactivated a crisis — which President Donald Trump effectively solved — with their horrendous policies. So no, it isn’t humane when they trigger a flood and can’t effectively deal with it because of the massive amount of people.

According to the CBS report, we’re hearing really bad stories now about the situation in the CBP facilities. Kids who are only supposed to be held there for 72 hours before being sent out to HHS facilities have now been held there for as long as seven days. They’re being held in adult detention cells, in overcrowded conditions, and some are having to sleep on the floor and are going hungry. According to one immigration lawyer representing the children, Neha Desai, there are kids who have only showered once in seven days, but they weren’t allowed to shower more oftem.

How bad is it? It’s bad. At the Donna complex, it’s at 729% of its pandemic era capacity, according to the report. It’s supposed to hold only 250 people; it’s now holding 1,800. They’re not able to observe any social distancing because of the massive number of people.

The lawyers were denied access, when they asked if they could look around the facility.

But it gets worse. It isn’t just teens. “There was a staggering amount of very young children,” she said.

Not only that, they’re apparently not allowed outside, that the kids told her “how they never saw the sun.”

Desai also said that the kids she spoke with said they weren’t allowed to call their family members either. “They were hysterically crying, wanting to talk to their family,” she said.

“[I]t is deeply concerning to see young children in facilities for days on end, unable to take a shower, call their families or see the sunlight,” she declared. “Multiple kids said the exact same sentence: ‘the only time I get up is to throw away trash or go to the bathroom,'” she said.

Now it’s hard to blame CBP for this, since they weren’t having this problem until Joe Biden caused it with his words and executive orders causing the surge. But now it’s coming back to haunt him, and unfortunately, to negatively impact the kids that he encouraged to come.

The Homeland Security Chief Alejandro Mayorkas is still spinning on this question, claiming that there were “no children in cages” in a recent Univision interview, and that the children were well taken care of. Yeah, just in adult detention cells locked up, away from the sun. What’s another word for that? Five letter word beginning with “c” and ending in “s,” and having “ages” in the middle. His claim isn’t aging very well. Psaki tried the same claim. But as we previously reported, and as this report from CBS confirms again, kids are being kept for far longer than the 72 hours that the law allows.

This is really bad; it sounds worse even than it was under Obama/Biden. At least then, Barack Obama was trying to stop it, although he wasn’t handling it well. But this is all on Biden.

So where are the Democrats calling for accountability here?
