Some people have been wondering where Joe Biden has been.

Well, to be honest, I and probably most weren’t. Because maybe with all that’s going on, he really wasn’t missed.

But others had noticed that he seemed to be missing for the last several days, even after announcing that he would be trying to do “shadow briefings” of President Donald Trump’s Wuhan virus briefings. Something he doesn’t seem to understand is a terrible idea and not in the interests of the country. There’s one president and one person in charge. It’s not him. To try to undermine the response at this point when most are trying to pull together is just unconscionable.

But that seems to be the order of the day with the Democrats, who also held up the virus relief bill which would have helped Americans facing serious difficulty because of the restrictions that have been in place on movement and their ability to work.

But #whereisJoe trended on Friday. Writer Glenn Greenwald mocked his absence. “Joe Biden’s omnipresence, steely calm and inspiring leadership has shown the US what A Real President does in times of crises,” he said last week. ”Oh wait — has anyone seen Joe?”

The last time he’s made remarks on camera it hadn’t gone well, as you can see here.

Biden did throw Obama ebola czar Ron Klain out there to do a video on his behalf about the virus. But people only pointed out “where was Joe” because he wasn’t in it. They also pointed out that Klain was a lawyer and political operative ahad no experience in public health, prior to being appointed to the position. Those same folks who attacked Vice President Mike Pence over his lack of medical experience being in charge of the White House Virus Task Force because you have to have an administrator coordinating, likely had no problem when Klain was appointed by Obama. Nor did they call him out trying to explain the virus on behalf of Biden.

But Biden finally did emerge today. But, as usual with Joe, it didn’t go particularly well. He looked horrible, old and confused.

It started badly, with him touching his face, one of the critical guidelines not to do with the current pandemic.

Here’s where it looked like the teleprompter went out or he couldn’t see it and didn’t know what to say.

He also got the name of the Massachusetts governor wrong.

Seriously, Democrats? This is your guy?
