Mayor de Blasio whined to a crowd of hayseeds in the Midwest about how New Yorkers are too mean to him at baseball games — and said he was jealous how well his Milwaukee counterpart is greeted by fans.

“I had the pleasure of taking in a Brewers game with Mayor Tom Barrett last night,” de Blasio told a group at a speech Saturday in Milwaukee. “I was struck by how many people kept coming up to the mayor to thank him for his service.”

Geez, this guy.

Anyway: hey, you know what I was struck by, about that guy Tom Barrett?  The way that he could only get between 46.3% and 46.5% of the vote in the 2010 and 2012 (recall) Wisconsin gubernatorial elections. We call that losing, over here in the Northeast. Which makes the fact that Bill De Blasio apparently looks up to Barrett just a little bit wacky…

PS: Seriously. Who the heck slams his own city’s baseball fans? And just who told Mayor De Blasio that this was smart? …Golly, I knew that the City had gotten into its collective head to elect a screaming progressive. I just can’t for the life of me work out why it figured that it wanted a wimp.
