Meanwhile, GOP-Controlled Board Certifies Results in Maricopa County, Arizona; Cementing AZ Win for Biden

The Republican-controlled Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Friday night to certify the election results of the county — Arizona’s largest — cementing Joe Biden’s win in the highly contested state.

Washington Post reporter Amy Wang tweeted that the board, comprised of four Republicans and one Democrat, “went through the elections process in excruciating detail and vouched for its integrity.”

The board “methodically swept aside — in great detail — a wide range of fraud claims, including those pertaining to Dominion voting machines.”

In a bit of a Twilight Zone moment, this happened.

At virtually the exact moment that the Maricopa County board made this unanimous, bipartisan showing, the Arizona GOP sent this:

Clint Hickman, the Republican chairman of the election board, said:

“It’s time to dial back the rhetoric, conspiracies, and false claims.

“In a free democracy, elections result in some people’s candidate losing.”

Did I mention Hickman is a Republican? [sarc]

As noted by our friends over at Twitchy, the certification came shortly after the last pending court case was dismissed:

In a bit of black comedy, Maricopa County lawyer Tom Liddy is the son of G. Gordon Liddy of Richard Nixon-Watergate infamy, who would no doubt be loathed by Democrats as a card-carrying member of the so-called “alt-right” — if they even knew who he was, that is.

And again, without Maricopa Country, Biden would’ve been toast in Arizona. Moreover, he became the first Democrat presidential candidate to win Maricopa County since Harry Truman pulled it off — 72 years ago.

Did I mention that four of the five board members are Republican, and the Maricopa County attorney is G. Gordon Liddy’s son? Pretty sure I did.

Needless to say, TDS-riddled Trump-haters gleefully reacted to the news with the same kind of bitter bile we’ve come to know and “love” for more than four years. I decided to spare you the experience of reading their garbage — save for one example. Radical left-wing Rabbi Ari Berman no doubt wet himself over, as he described it, “Trump’s day.”

And the Left doesn’t understand why conservatives won’t — after four years of that type of crap and worse — just roll over and sing “Kumbaya” with them. What did Biden call it in his “victory” speech? “A time to heal“? Sorry, Democrats; I’ll sit this one out.
