Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, along with the liberal media — convinced that a Biden presidency is a done deal — are now falling all over themselves trying to buy half of America a Coke and teach us to sing in perfect harmony with the very people who for four years did everything they could to not only destroy Trump’s presidency; but also to hang him in the village square when this whole thing is finally over — no doubt carried live by CNN and hosted by Jim Acosta, with color commentary from Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon.

Among many conservatives calling BS is conservative radio talk show host Larry Elder, who on Thursday dropped a scathing op-ed telling Biden and the Democrats what they can do with their snake oil.

Elder began by busting out a few of the Democrats’ favorite names for Trump over the last four years — which Biden conveniently wants us to forget.

“After four years of attacking President Donald Trump as “illegitimate,” “fascist,” “Nazi,” “tyrant,” “dictator,” “racist,” “anti-Semitic,” “Russian stooge,” “traitor,” “grifter,” “xenophobe,” “sexist,” “homophobe,” “ignorant,” “fat” and “lazy,”

“Former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive president-elect, now says, “Let’s heal.”

Elder revisited  “victory” speech: Biden’s plea.

“And to those who voted for President Trump, I understand your disappointment tonight. I’ve lost a couple of elections myself. But now, let’s give each other a chance. It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric. To lower the temperature. To see each other again. To listen to each other again. To make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy. We are not enemies. We are Americans. The Bible tells us that to everything there is a season — a time to build, a time to reap, a time to sow. And a time to heal.”

“This is the time to heal in America,” Biden reiterated.

And Larry’s thoughts about Biden’s transparent but necessary (for the Democrats’ sake) olive branch? “Well that’s lovely,” he said, as he launched into Biden and the Democrats — more than happy to remind them of their obsessive “get Trump at all costs” behavior — from the nanosecond he was declared the winner in the 2016 election.

“But please forgive Trump supporters for not being in a mood to “heal.” How bogus was the Trump-Russia collusion investigation that consumed most of the Trump presidency? Neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris bothered to mention it during the campaign.

“Ditto for Trump’s impeachment. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former FBI Director James Comey now admit that, knowing then what they know now, they would not have signed off on FISA warrants that were crucial to the investigation.”

Elder then referenced a National Review piece on Rosenstein’s congressional testimony:

“Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein testified to Congress on Wednesday that he would not have signed off on a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant renewal to spy on former Trump campaign associate Carter Page had he been aware then of the unreliability of the underlying evidence.

“‘If you knew then what you know now, would you have signed the application?’ Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham asked Rosenstein during his testimony.

“‘No, I would not,’ Rosenstein replied.”

Exactly. And speaking snake oil salesmen, what about Andrew McCabe? Elder included the following excerpt from the New York Post:

“(Sen. Lindsey) Graham also unloaded on (former FBI Deputy-turned-Acting Director Andrew) McCabe for signing off on a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign aide Carter Page, which an ex-FBI lawyer has since pleaded guilty to falsifying documents in order to obtain.

“‘If you knew then what you know now would you have signed the warrant application in June of 2017 against Carter Page?’ Graham asked.

“‘No, sir,’ responded McCabe.

“‘Who is responsible for ruining Mr. Carter Page’s life?’ Graham asked, saying the warrant was ‘completely devoid of the truth.’

“‘I think that we are all responsible for the work that went into that FISA,’ the ex-director said.”

Elder noted that, while Democrats and Republicans alike believed that Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016 election, 78 percent of Democrats believed, according to Gallup, that Russia not only succeeded but that it changed the outcome of the election — in Trump’s favor, of course.

“Never mind,” Elder recounted, “that Jeh Johnson, President Barack Obama’s secretary of Homeland Security, in his 2017 prepared testimony before Congress, said”:

“On Election Day, DHS assembled a crisis-response team to rapidly address any reported cyber intrusions into the election process. To my current knowledge, the Russian government did not through any cyber intrusion alter ballots, ballot counts or reporting of election results.”

Nonetheless, as we all know, from despicable Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) — the snake oil salesman of snake oil salesmen — to two-time-loser Hillary Clinton, who continues to blame anyone and everything she continues to lie about — ironically including Russia — for her loss 2016 loss to Trump, to the liberal media, and Democrats across America: Donald J. Trump is an “illegitimate” president.

Speaking of the so-called “mainstream” media…

Elder quoted a passage from the book “Left Turn: How Liberal Media Bias Distorts the American Mind,” by economics and political science professor Tim Groseclose, who in the 2011 book attempted to quantify the impact of the left-wing media on Trump’s presidency and specifically, how Americans think and vote: Groseclose wrote:

“For the past several years, I have researched this question, trying to solve the following thought experiment: What if media bias were suddenly to disappear? In such a world, how would America look and act politically? The answer is, approximately like Texas.” (Note: This year, President Trump handily won that state.)

“More specifically, if media bias were to disappear, according to the analysis, then America would think and vote like any region that voted around 56-43 percent for Republican John McCain in the last presidential election. Besides Texas, such regions include Kansas, North Dakota, Kentucky, Salt Lake County, Utah, and Orange County, Calif.”

Elder closed with a quote from Dean Baquet, executive editor of The New York Times, which could not ring more true:

“The left, as a rule, does not want to hear thoughtful disagreement.” Given this mentality, liberals, Democrats, and the media find Trump absolutely, positively insufferable. This raises a question. Mr. Biden, which side needs to heal?”

Bingo.

The Truth is Joe Biden and the Democrat Party don’t give a damn about tens of millions of Trump supporters “healing.” What they do give a damn about is political expediency; political expediency made necessary by the resounding beatdown Nancy Pelosi’s House Democrat Caucus suffered in the election, along with the likelihood that Mitch McConnell will remain Senate Majority Leader following the two Georgia runoff elections on January 5.

That is the reality of at least the next two years that a “President Biden” would face.

Yes, beware of Democrat snake oil salesmen, Trump supporters. Particularly 78-year-old snake oil salesmen who bear an uncanny resemblance to a goofy version of P.T. Barnum.

Besides, if the shoe were on the other foot, how much “healing” would they do?
