Trump that his personnel botched. At what point do these Biden remarks stop being "speaking to the Nation" and become counterprogramming?

I'm sorry, the NYPD thing sounds just like the rest of the bushwa our "law enforcement" people put out about how Catholics and the parents of kindergartners are this nation's most severe domestic terrorism threat. If they are going to use the Trump shooting as an excuse to crack down on "right wing white supremacy," I'd say we've been had.

I have to question the wisdom of choosing the FBI as the lead agency to investigate this case. The issue is trust: virtually no one on the R side of the aisle trusts the FBI to do anything except scheme, lie, and bury evidence.
An incident like this is by its nature going to give rise to endless conspiracy theories. Having the FBI anywhere near the evidence just fans the conspiracy flames. No matter what the FBI concludes or says, large numbers of people will assume it's a trick.

I have a bunch of things around here: a MAGA hat, the booking-photo T-shirt, a "Let's Go Brandon" shirt (and an FJB shirt), and I'm sure the so-called "iconic photo" from yesterday will be on shirts soon enough.I rarely wear this stuff except to known-friendly events because I don't want the grief. What is up with Fox News during this crisis? Every press conference they've broken into late and they've had some kind of tech issues.
I had some household plumbing problems today, so had to run out to the home improvement store. When I saw a pop-up store with Trump gear I had to stop. My first Trump hat! I hesitated in the past just because my preference was to stay with red, white, and blue patriotic gear, but that all changed yesterday.

Today is one of those days I wish I could talk to my Dad. He always took the long view, and he always stayed calm and reasoned. I would have loved to know what he thought about all this.
Not surprisingly, this is the same kind of messaging we have seen from the press, almost verbatim.
Lester Holt said almost this exact phrase, and Jake Tapper was also selling the "lone wolf" narrative, so as not to impugn any of the hateful rhetoric heard over the past year - much of it in the press.

There will also be an Oval Office address tonight and Biden will supposedly speak broadly on unity in the country. If he doesn't apologize for his "MAGA Extremists" words, then he can... well, I won't write it. But his words are empty if he doesn't apologize and say he was wrong to use that tactic to start with.
Biden is directing Secret Service to review all of the security procedures for the RNC. I mean, that SHOULD comfort me, but it doesn't. I'm even more glad that I'm not going to cover it physically, and pray for my colleagues/friends in Townhall Media and beyond who are there (Katie Pavlich, Bill Melugin, LA Times' Seema Mehta) and pray for their safety. Given the political climate and known hatred of Trump by some of those at the top of the Secret Service and the FBI, I don't have confidence that appropriate measures will be taken.
This is not to denigrate the professionalism of others in those agencies; especially within the Secret Service I know that there are some good agents. But will they be given the resources to do their jobs?

I'm annoyed at Lindsey Graham. I know he's very emotional about the close call Trump went through, but he's not any closer to Trump than any other Senator (and perhaps less so), but on Meet the Press he was like a cowering dog when Kristen Welker brought up JD Vance's tweet, which wasn't incendiary in any way, and characterized it as somehow equal to liberal rhetoric over the last 8 years
