On Saturday, an assassin tried to kill Donald Trump. On Sunday, he played a round of golf and then flew to Milwaukee, the site of the Republican Nation Committee Convention scheduled to start Monday. No commentary necessary; it speaks for itself.

Here’s a view from inside the cockpit as the soon-to-be GOP nominee touches down in Trump Force One:

Note the bobblehead on the instrument panel. And then the motorcade enters the city:

After the horrendous assassination attempt, the former president initially decided to change his plans. "I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin, and The Republican National Convention, by two days, but have just decided that I cannot allow a 'shooter,' or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else," he wrote on his Truth Social site on Sunday. But then he changed his mind:

He looked to be in good shape as he descended the stairs of his Boeing 757.

All eyes will be on the former president as he is expected to make a major speech in the coming days, announce his running mate, and formally accept the GOP nomination for president. Speakers scheduled include multiple top senators such as Sens. Ron Johnson (R-WI), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Ted Cruz (R-TX), House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), former Fox News Host Tucker Carlson, Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk, country musician Lee Greenwood, and businessman and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Also of note, two of Trump’s top competitors for the nomination – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley—have been extended invites, despite earlier reports that they had not.

Viewers and attendees will be taking special note of how Trump appears physically, considering he was almost killed just Saturday. Early reports are that he’s doing just fine:

Meanwhile, Joe Biden has made two speeches to the nation since the attempt on Trump, and while he blamed the toxic political environment for what happened, he failed to put the blame on his own divisive, incendiary rhetoric where has routinely said that half of America is hell-bent on destroying the nation and that Trump is an existential threat to Democracy. Hardly the kind of words that calm passions.
