Player to watch during Sunday Night FootballÂ
The Sunday finale features the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys will be playing at home, but they will be without several players from last season, including wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is expected to play; however, he felt a pop in his right ankle but practiced fully on Friday. Prescott will have a few options to work with on Sunday night — including CeeDee Lamb, Dalton Schultz, Ezekiel Elliot, and Tony Pollard.
Tony Pollard is the player to watch on Sunday night, as the Cowboys will utilize Pollard in the slot as a wide receiver, he will see work as a passing back, and he will likely split the carries with starting running back Ezekiel Elliot.
Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will be without Rob Gronkowski, but the team added wide receivers Russell Gage and Julio Jones, alongside Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Brady will have no shortage of talent to work with this season.
To conclude Week 1 of the NFL season, Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos will open up their season on the road to take on Wilson’s former team, the Seattle Seahawks, on Monday Night Football.
