Pregnant Woman Among Three Stabbed in Paris Attack, Suspect Cited 'Allah'

Another European attack. Another radical Islamist suspect.

Paris has been rocked by news of another horrific assault. A pregnant woman is reported to be among three victims who were assailed by an Islamic extremist wielding a knife on Monday morning.

According to The Telegraph, a 31-year-old man attacked three women with two kitchen knives near the Porte de Clichy area, specifically between the brasserie Les Deux Coupoles and the Porte de Clichy tram stop.

The Telegraph gave a very direct and grim report about the attack, stating clearly that the man stated, "It is Allah who ordered me" to police after his arrest.

A man reportedly launched the attack on passers-by with two kitchen knives in a square in the city’s north-west on Monday morning.
He was detained by an off-duty police officer and was taken into custody. As he was pinned down by officers, he said “it is Allah who ordered me”, Le Figaro reported.

However, the report notes that Laurent Nunez, the interior minister, "downplayed any terrorist motive, suggesting the attacker had mental health issues."

It's a familiar refrain from European leaders who want the public to remain blind to the disastrous effect of importing military-age men from countries that are terrorist hotbeds.

The Guardian, predictably, ran cover for the suspected Islamist assailant by omitting his religious affiliation.

A French off-duty police officer has detained a man after he attacked and wounded three women with two kitchen knives in Paris on Monday.
Three women aged 19, 24 and 36 were taken to hospital after the assault at about 11.30am (0930 GMT) in the Porte de Clichy area in the north of the capital, said the interior minister, Laurent Nuñez.
Two had been gravely wounded but their lives were not in danger, Nuñez said. One had been injured in the lower back; the other in the abdomen.
“The perpetrator was apprehended by an off-duty police officer,” Nuñez said.
The identity of the suspect and his motive were not immediately clear. Nuñez said he had made “incoherent statements”, but the minister advised against jumping to conclusions on the man’s motives.

The Guardian did, however, note, "On Saturday, an Islamist radical ploughed a rented minivan into a Pride parade in Berlin, killing one woman and wounding 29."

As I reported earlier, this senseless atrocity was not committed by a "van," as some outlets reported on the breaking news, but by a radical Islamist.

The foreign media are being put in a difficult spot between reporting the truth and running afoul of the government censors.

In 2008, the European Union passed a Council Framework Decision on combating certain forms and expressions of racism and xenophobia. It required member states to criminalize: Public incitement to violence or hatred directed against a group (or a member of a group) defined by race, colour, descent, religion or belief, or national/ethnic origin.

More recently, the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the voluntary Code of Conduct on countering illegal hate speech online require platforms to remove illegal content, including anti-Muslim hate speech, often within 24 hours.

No wonder it is so difficult for European media to report on Islamic terrorist attacks. It is a "hate crime" to honestly report on certain "hate crimes."
