Multiple suspects were arrested in the massive jewelry heist at the famed Louvre museum in France, thanks to the use of theft detection to pick up and analyze DNA.
Authorities reported that one of the two suspects believed to be involved in the Paris heist of French crown jewels was arrested at the airport, allegedly on his way to fly to Algeria.

The reporter in the clip said the two men could be detained until Wednesday night when they are either "charged or released."

French authorities made the arrest on Saturday.
Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau said that investigators made the arrests on Saturday evening, including one man who was taken into custody as he was about to leave the country from Charles de Gaulle airport.
Beccuau did not confirm the number of arrests, though French media BFM TV and Le Parisien newspaper earlier reported that two suspects had been arrested and taken into custody. She did not say whether the jewels had been recovered.
Sources told ABC News that the special investigators were able to collect more than 150 DNA samples at the scene of the crime, which led to the current arrests. They also used CCTV footage to "retrace" the alleged robbers' steps before and after the heist.

The report also dived into what is next in the investigation, noting that police have been silent about whether any of the stolen jewelry has been recovered. Authorities have said that if the jewels weren't recovered within 48 hours after the theft, the fear would be that they would never be recovered, and the jewels would be broken up into smaller gems and sold.

The gang of several 'highly organised criminals' arrived outside the world's most visited museum at around 9.30 am local time on Sunday, while thousands of tourists enjoyed a day out at the attraction.
Masked and wielding angle grinders, the gang parked up their scooters outside the Apollo Gallery (Galerie d'Apollon home to jewels belonging to Napoleon Bonaparte, his wife Josephine, and a string of subsequent Emperors and Empresses.
Investigators will continue to comb through the hundreds of DNA samples in hopes that it will lead to further arrests. A second investigation is underway into why security was so lax, and how the culprits beat the alarms, Fox News noted.
