Fox News has hired Marie Harf—formerly one of their favorite targets—as a contributor. Deadline Hollywood is reporting:

Fox News Channel has signed former State Department deputy spokesperson and Democratic advisor Marie Harf as a contributor. Harf makes her FNC debut on Martha MacCallum’s program The First 100 Days, this evening; she will offer national security and political analysis across FNC and Fox Business Network’s daytime and primetime programming.

…

Prior to joining the State Department, Harf was the senior advisor and media spokesperson for former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) as he was being confirmed to be Secretary of Defense. During the 2012 presidential election, Harf worked on national security and foreign policy issues for President Obama’s re-election campaign and was the campaign’s press spokesperson on national security issues. She was also a member of Obama’s debate prep team.

Her many gaffes as a deputy spokesperson at the State Department were fodder for a lot of social media snark.

When she was forced out of her job, Fox News even made a highlight reel of her more colorful moments.

This shouldn’t be awkward at all.
