President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to declare China is very happy with what he is doing to permanently open the Strait of Hormuz. As RedState reported, U.S. CENTCOM has been successfully implementing a naval blockade of Iranian ports, effectively controlling the flow of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. If China is very happy, then so is our stock market. As Semafor reported on Wednesday, Most of the losses since the start of Operation Epic Fury have been regained.
Bright and early Wednesday morning, Trump wrote:

China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them, also - And the World. This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran. President Xi will give me a big, fat, hug when I get there in a few weeks. We are working together smartly, and very well! Doesn’t that beat fighting??? BUT REMEMBER, we are very good at fighting, if we have to - far better than anyone else!!! President DJT

As my colleague Ward Clark reported on Sunday, U.S. intelligence uncovered that China was preparing to send weapons shipments, including air-defense systems, to Iran.
Just when you thought things in the Middle East couldn't get any more interesting - and I mean interesting as in the "ancient Chinese curse" sense - now there are reports that China is preparing weapons shipments for the remains of Iran's theocratic regime. More interesting still, the shipments are reported to include air-defense systems.
But oil appears to be the leverage being used against China's actions. In President Trump's Sunday interview with Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo, Trump said,
He's somebody that needs oil, we don't. He's somebody I get along with very well. He just wrote me a beautiful letter. [...] He responded to a letter I wrote, because I had heard that China is giving weapons... I mean, you're seeing it all over the place, to Iran, that China is giving weapons... I wrote him a letter asking him not to do that, and he wrote me a letter saying, essentially, that he's not doing that.

While Trump alleges in his Truth Social post that this is proof that the U.S. and China are working together very well, he still manages to saber-rattle in the event China breaks its pledge not to aid Iran.
Trump's scheduled trip to Beijing is in May. The administration met with U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdue on Tuesday to strategize.
The talks are expected to focus on both escalating tensions in the Middle East and the broader U.S.–China relationship, as Washington weighs its approach to Beijing ahead of the summit.
"President Trump looks forward to discussing the latest on U.S.-China relations with Ambassador Perdue, including preparations for the President’s upcoming trip to Beijing," White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told Fox News Digital.
Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
