South Carolina Senator and presidential candidate Tim Scott shared his new political ad exclusively with The Hill. It premiered on Monday, and defined Sen. Scott's stance on the issue of life, without soft peddling or political gamesmanship

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) is targeting some of his 2024 rivals on the issue of abortion in a new ad shared exclusively with The Hill.

“If the radical Left wins, abortions will be performed on minors without their parent’s consent. Babies old enough to feel pain will be aborted. And poor single mothers like mine, will be told aborting their children would help the economy,” Scott says in a 30-second ad that will air on Newsmax starting Monday.

“Yet, these people say I’m the extremist. I’m Tim Scott, and I approve this message because some Republicans want to retreat on life. I know life is a gift from God, and this is a fight we must win,” he continues in the ad, a subtle jab at several of his fellow 2024 GOP contenders.

The GOP senator’s remarks allude to comments Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen made during a Senate hearing last year in which she said that “eliminating the right of women to make decisions about when and whether to have children would have very damaging effects on the economy and would set women back decades.”

The ad is called, "Extremist," and it is a good play on the slur hurled at pro-life Republicans.

Scott is authentically and unapologetically pro-life. You can tell it's not an intellectual exercise to him. Blacks and Hispanics are disproportionately targeted by the death merchants (see, Sanger, Margaret) for abortions under the guise of economic freedom. What boggles my mind is that Black Democrats and Black activists are always screaming about targeting POCs and genocide, when they allow this genocide in their midst and do not bat an eyelash.

Scott is not only calling his fellow Republicans out on this issue, he is calling the Left out, and his personal story, coupled with his record is a strong testament to the strength embodied in the message.

Scott is working hard to forge his own path in this presidential primary madness. While he will be a part of the second presidential debate at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, polling still has him trailing behind tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and former Pence. On his personal story, clarity of vision, and legislative record alone, he should be doing much better.

Scott's stance on the issue of life at all stages could be a powerful and defining one that gives him the momentum to move ahead. Now if he would only stop talking about reversing Dobbs with a national abortion ban, he'd be near perfect on it. Hopefully, this ad helps to raise the bar on the subject of Life and how conservatives and Republicans need to pay even greater attention to it in a post-Roe world. The Left certainly has not given an inch, and neither should we.

As Scott's fellow Republican candidate Haley said in the last debate, Republicans need to have a real conversation about how a president will assist the individual states in addressing the nuances and hurdles, rather than just using it as a political talking point.

Wednesday's debate will reveal if the ad struck a nerve.
