Reese Hogan, a 16-year-old female athlete, placed second in the triple jump at the Women's CIF Southern Section Finals (California) last weekend. She lost to a boy who was allowed to compete in the girls' division. When it was time for the award ceremony, Hogan took her spot on the second-place block and received her medal. When it was over and the other athletes had left the podium, she hopped up on the first-place block and remained there for a few seconds. The crowd loved it. Good for her.
This is what it's going to take to get rid of the Fakegendery Fad. Girls in girls' sports will either have to refuse to compete against boys in their divisions, or they're going to need a way to claim recognition as the real first-place finishers. There needs to be a new movement in the sports world called Second Place Is the New First Place.
A trophy or a medal is just a symbol that recognizes achievement and excellence. It has no innate qualities unto itself. When a boy takes first in a girls' sport and gets his medal, the message has to get out that it's worthless in the eyes of everybody else. When a girl finishes second in a girls' event, the opposite has to happen. She needs a symbol of her own that tells the world she's claiming first place for herself, and it has to be one that others can recognize.
Gay people have their flag. Fakegender people have one of their own. I think that women who take second place to a boy in their female division ought to adopt their own flag and wrap themselves up in it on the podium when they get their medal. "The Second Place Is the New First Place" flag.
Now, the administrators won't like this very much. On the day of Hogan's track meet, a number of the female team members were wearing tees that said "Protect Women's Sports." According to Ms. Hogan, a number of adult overseers told them to take those shirts off or risk disqualification. They didn't say it in clear English, but more than once, they got that message across to the girls. And, because they had trained hard and wanted to compete, they complied. You can't blame them. But unfortunately, they were intimidated by adults whom they are supposed to trust into towing the Lie. According to Fox News
The trans athlete ultimately finished in the top nine in the girls' high jump, long jump and finished in first place in the triple jump. By virtue of placing in the top-nine in all those events, the athlete will advance in the state semifinals, while the three female athletes who finished in 10th place in those events will all miss out.
In just a few short years, this fad has become policy, gospel, and codified. And with it came the punishment of enforcement. People have been fired for stating their belief that there are only two sexes, and those who do not comply with the orthodoxy have faced the penalties. It boggles the mind of clear-thinking people.
I would expect that if such a movement for women happened and began to make some headway, the New Second Place flag symbol would be attacked and banned -- girls would have to make the choice between complying or resisting. Then, sooner or later, a First Amendment suit would be filed. It would be a battle and a long one at that. Still, somebody has to be on the front line, and I think one way to symbolize the rights of female athletes would be a portable, wearable, waveable flag that affirmed their beliefs. If schools can permit Pride symbology at sporting events, there should be no legal reason why biological females cannot do the same with their own colors.
It's time to stop supporting the lie that fakegender women make better women than women themselves.
