Chuck Schumer Will Say Anything Because He Is Scared

Chuck Schumer says that Donald Trump is to blame for the Cuauhtémoc, a 150-foot-tall Mexican training vessel, crashing into the Brooklyn Bridge. In other news, the president is also to blame for Pearl Harbor, the 100 Years' War, and the Fall of the House of Usher. Peering over his little spectacles, Shumer wrote in a press release last weekend that:

After being fully briefed on last night’s Brooklyn Bridge accident, one thing is predominantly clear: there are more questions than answers as it relates to exactly how this accident occurred...At the same time, maintaining the structural integrity and safety of America’s bridges is critical to the economy and the well-being of communities. A failure or attack on a major bridge could disrupt supply chains, endanger lives, and cause massive economic losses. It is unacceptable that the Trump administration is potentially jeopardizing our national and economic security – as well as American lives.

According to Fox News, Schumer went on to point to the DOGE-implemented hiring freeze at the Coast Guard, arguing it could have impeded the Coast Guard's Vehicle Traffic System, which works in a similar fashion to the air traffic control system.

Outstanding, Chuck. The NTSB has barely gotten a hold of the case, and you already know more than they do. Homeland Security thinks differently and quickly swept aside Schumer's nonsense.

"Minority Leader Schumer’s accusations that a hiring freeze led to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Vessel Traffic Services not being adequately staffed are FALSE," the official DHS account posted on X.

The post continues:

The US Coast Guard has been fully supported and been exempt from hiring freezes. Additionally, this incident had nothing to do with Vessel Traffic Services— when a ship loses propulsion in a high current area, the vessel needs to engage all capabilities to stop and ideally tugs are nearby to support. We encourage Minority Leader Schumer to get his facts straight before he misleads the American people.

Schumer's Take on Biden in Tapper Book Is 'Psychotic' - His Reaction Now Is Even Worse

When ships lose an engine or two, they have been known to run into bridges. Sometimes they come down on top of the vessel, and I've noticed that Schumer didn't blame former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for what happened in Baltimore. I'm willing to bet that everybody else noticed, too. This is just the sort of tantrum you see with a child when he tries to blame his sister for knocking the cookie jar to the floor, shattering it as he stands amidst the shards. All you can do is look at Schumer, shake your head, and then check the refrigerator for lunch.

This business of blaming Trump for everything (Gavin Newsom just blamed him for California's $12 billion deficit, as if that were something that just magically appeared in the last 100 days) has definitely gone down the road of the Racist Cry. Nobody believes it anymore. I don't even think Schumer himself believes what he wrote. He's not stupid; he just says and does stupid things because political expediency demands it of him. I guess his constituents are...well, maybe not that bright, but he knows you must drop to your audience's level in order for communication to occur. He'll say anything to serve his own interests. Like when he blamed Trump for the Toronto plane crash.

"This flight took off from Minneapolis. The FAA was still responsible for inspecting the aviation equipment, and Trump just fired FAA safety specialists. The Trump administration turns away from the facts, and it's hurting Americans. Democrats are fighting to protect the flying public."

No, Chuck. The FAA is not responsible for inspecting the aviation equipment. The airlines themselves are responsible for inspecting their aviation equipment. When there is an accident, the NTSB gets involved and makes recommendations to the FAA. Then the FAA issues mandates or guidelines. And the flight in question was under the control of Canadian ATC, anyway. Wrong again.

Saying the wrong thing seems to be the right thing for Schumer — so much so that it's become more than a bad habit. It presents as an addiction. Who can forget the "Reap the Whirlwind" speech? It not only sounded crazy, but it seems to have inspired one would-be assassin and a bunch of blue-haired protestors at the homes of some Supreme Court justices, both of which are against the law

It seems that there is very little Schumer won't pop off about. His personal popularity is running about 17 percent, and his own party wants to primary him. He's getting desperate now and trying to claw back ground by saying dumb stuff and doing dumb stuff. He's gotten scared now, because that mouth is always open. Unless, however, you ask him what he knew about Biden's senility. Then, and only then, does he self-identify as a clam.
