Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! It is officially 10 days until Christmas and time to wrap up (yay puns!) your holiday shopping! Or, if you are like me, time to start your shopping 😉 And seeing as how the birth of one baby changed the world, there is no better time to support and/or spread the pro-life message! To begin, you should know about an awesome new app that will help you to know which stores support life! The 2nd Vote app, which The Vine has previously covered, will specifically show you if a company has contributed to organizations that fund abortion, among other conservative issues. The app also provides alternative options that are more in line with your values should you find that the company does lean left. 2nd Vote also has a list of companies that recognize Christmas if you would like to honor those stores as well.
Top on my list this year will be The Giver. The story of how Jonas discovers the secrets his community has tried so hard to hide is phenomenal; and the message of life is woven in beautifully. You can check out my full review here. If you have a young person on your list, I highly recommend the book. $8.99 The movie was extremely well done and is appropriate for adults and teens. $14.96
From Students for Life, you can pick up a signed copy of “Courageous,” written by Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins. $10.00
They also have a really cute potholder! Because who doesn’t need another potholder? $3.00
Over at Priests for Life, you can get a Priests for Life 2015 Pro-Life Calendar. My mother-in-law buys me a calendar every year for Christmas and I always look forward to seeing what she has picked out. Call me old-fashioned, but I still really prefer writing some things down and I use my calendar all year! $10.00
Priests for Life has a number children’s books on their site, such as “Little Star,” by Anthony DeStefano which retells the nativity story. $13.99
If t-shirts are your thing, Abort73 has lots of designs to choose from. Here’s my favorite! $20.00
For the secular pro-lifer on your list, or really anyone, Secular Pro-Life has an assortment of bumper stickers that would fit nicely in a stocking. $4.70
