Marjorie Taylor Greene Swatted Again but the Swatter Is Only Doing Her a Favor

Yesterday, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was “swatted” at her home in Georgia after police received reports of shots being heard at her home. Of course, there was nothing wrong going on at Casa de MTG, it was simply a false call by a third party.

Now it’s happened again, the second in two days. According to The Hill, officers showed up at Greene’s home after a letter was written to the police informing them of a hostage situation featuring one of Greene’s family members who had turned trans:

A local 911 call center received a chat at 2:53 a.m. on what appeared to be a suicide chat line, with the individual claiming they came out as transgender and possibly shot their family, according to a police report.

“If anyone tried to stop me from shooting myself, I will shoot them,” wrote the individual, who allegedly identified themselves as “Wayne Greene.”

The Rome Police Department said officers responded to Greene’s home and confirmed it was a false report after speaking with her at the door.

The perpetrator uses a VPN so the letter can’t be tracked back to the source, but police are currently investigating.

“It’s very dangerous, Steve,” Greene told Steve Bannon while on his show on Thursday. “Because we haven’t found this person, or it may be a group of people, but whoever it is and whatever they are, their ideology is sick and disgusting.”

Swatting is a dangerous prank that involves making threats at an address that forces a heavily armed response from police. At best, the victim of the prank is scared half to death as police come bursting into their home, at worse, the hope is that a jumpy police officer will pull the trigger after misinterpreting a movement.

Swatting first became popular in the gaming community as a way to prank streamers. The issue became so bad that law enforcement all over the country began cracking down on false reports like these.

The issue is that this is only going to make someone like Greene more emboldened and harden her heart against her opponents. Greene has a long history of laughing off attacks and using them to generate support. Case in point, Greene said she’s making plans for the next swatting incident, and that involves treating the officers to dinner.

The last attempt to keep her off the ballot earlier this year only made support for her surge. Being the victim of two different swatting attempts by radical leftists is likely going to cause her to gain support, not lose it. It’s definitely not going to make her back down out of fear.

Whoever is swatting her is effectively feeding her support and getting police a free pizza dinner.
