Israeli attacks on Iran are continuing on Friday, with reports of nuclear facilities, ballistic missile sites, and the IRGC leadership being totally decimated. This was not a warning shot to get the Mullahs back to the negotiating table. It was a decapitation of Iran's military capabilities, both nuclear and traditional.
As RedState reported, IRGC supreme commander Hossein Salami was among those killed, along with what is reportedly most of his leadership structure and the nation's top nuclear scientists. The Iranians were caught off guard, not believing an attack was imminent, and their air defenses were completely ineffective.
DETAILS: Israeli Strikes on Iran Much Larger Than Initially Thought, Stunning Details Emerging
In the aftermath of the first wave of strikes, speculation ensued about what President Donald Trump thought about the attacks. Early on, some on the right (with ulterior motives, in my opinion) claimed that Israel had gone rogue and defied the White House to undermine negotiations with the Mullahs. We are now finding out that wasn't the case. I wrote in my initial piece on the attacks that there was no chance Trump didn't bless these attacks, and it is now being reported that not only did he know, but he also participated in the subterfuge to throw Iran off the scent.
Axios is reporting that Netanyahu and Trump pulled off a great deception as part of Israel’s preparation to strike Iran. If true, this would go down in history books. pic.twitter.com/R4L5azriC8

That seemed to be confirmed when the president put out the following post, which mirrored a longer post that slammed Iran for not taking the deal he put on the table.
Note: This is not the troll I'm talking about in the headline. That's coming next.

Now, let's get to the good stuff. So as the attacks are unfolding, I turn on Fox News because cable news is still a good source when it comes to minute-by-minute coverage of military engagements. Who I think is Trace Gallagher (but don't hold me to that) was anchoring, and he brought on Bret Baier, who had just spoken to Trump. He then relayed this absolutely hilarious troll from the president.
Dude is the ultimate troll. A true artist. pic.twitter.com/VFrSoEbSig

TRUMP: Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb, and we are hoping to get back to the negotiating table. We will see. There are several people in leadership that will not be coming back.
What an all-timer. Israel lops off Iran's head, and Trump responds by saying he hopes they come back to the negotiating table, but unfortunately, "there are several people in leadership that will not be coming back." This is why Trump is bigger than his movement, and why so many who try to mimic him fail to gain traction. He's just a different breed.
That comment should put to bed any question as to whether Trump was supportive of these attacks or not. He's out there having fun with this, and he later went on to call the attacks "excellent."
Pres. Trump to ABC News on Israel's strikes on Iran: "I think it's been excellent. We gave them a chance and they didn't take it. They got hit hard, very hard. They got hit about as hard as you're going to get hit. And there's more to come. a lot more."@marykbruce has more. pic.twitter.com/nU1lBEOaEm

I know there's a segment on the right (or who are ostensibly on the right) who are deeply anti-Israel (or worse) and desperately want to pretend the president was conned by the Israelis. He wasn't. They are going to have to cope with that as they see fit.
