It hasn't even been two weeks since Donald Trump won reelection in a landslide, and the thoughtful post-mortems on the Democrat side are already coming to an end. It was inevitable. Whatever common sense they expressed in the immediate aftermath was always doomed to correct back to engrained radicalism.
No more so is that true than with the transgender issue, specifically regarding its impact on children. Just days after the election, you could see the shift back on networks like CNN, with Abby Phillip and members of her panel lecturing Shermichael Singleton because he dared to say, "Boys should not play girl's sports."

This @CNN clip centers on a fierce dispute over whether calling transgender girls “boys who play in girls’ sports” is a slur. The man who says it isn’t one says that most people are uncomfortable with this and this helped cost Harris this election.

He was accused of using a "slur" and shouted over for two solid minutes before he finally gave up. That was a clue to where things were headed despite initial claims by Democrats that they were ready to pivot. Enter Jen Psaki, who has become the official schoolmarm of MSNBC, to insist that her party double down on trans insanity.
Jen Psaki says Democrats must double down on pushing the transgender agenda on Americans, including allowing men to play against girls in sports

She says it's not an issue and that men playing against girls in sports presents "no threat to safety or fairness." pic.twitter.com/iIoujvv1Fm
PSAKI: There's a lot of soul-searching going on right now within the Democratic Party, and that's a good thing, but what I warn you about is that in the course of all that soul-searching, some Democrats might reach the wrong sweeping conclusions, and there are a lot of issues that fall into that bucket. But one in particular that stuck out to me is transgender rights.
Republicans spent hundreds of millions of dollars on anti-trans ads this election cycle, including one talking about Vice President Kamala Harris talking about government funding for gender-affirming care for prisoners and detainees. If that sounds like a particularly obscure issue, it is because it applies to a tiny group of people, and it's also a policy that, by the way, was in place during the first Trump presidency.
Another one of the lies that ran over and over again in those ads and throughout right-wing media is this idea that America is faced with a crisis of boys playing in girl's sports. Now these ads created this perception that the issues of trans kids playing sports was dominating schools across the country, which is completely false. Some people got pulled into that argument.
There is no intellectually weaker argument than insinuating that something isn't happening while insisting it must continue. Democrats always do this when faced with a politically toxic issue. "This thing isn't happening, also it's great and why do you want to stop it?"
Are there large numbers of transgender inmates receiving "gender-affirming" care while in prison? Those guidelines were instituted by law under the Obama administration, not the Trump administration as claimed, by the way. Are there large numbers of "trans kids" playing in girl's sports? The answer is no, and that's also irrelevant. For one, every left-wing lunacy starts small and grows into an unstoppable behemoth. Two, if even one girl is disadvantaged by a male competing against her, that's too many.
Psaki continued by going after Democrat Rep. Seth Moulton, who dared to be normal on this issue.
PSAKI: I mean, immediately after the election, Congressman Seth Moulton told The New York Times quote, "Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face. I have two little girls. I don't want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I'm supposed to be afraid to say that."
And then last week, Congressman Moulton came on this network to discuss those comments.
(Plays video of Moulton defending his position and noting the backlash he got proves his point)
Look, reflection is good, but if that were actually an issue at thousands of schools across the country, it would be worthy of a debate. But there are just incredibly few examples of transgender girls playing in youth sports, and when we see those examples, there isn't evidence that these kids are a threat to safety or fairness.
It does not need to be an issue at "thousands of schools across the country" to be something voters care about. They see the writing on the wall, and they don't like it. They are also smart enough to realize that if they don't push back now, they'll never succeed in stopping the onslaught down the road.
Further, it is an outright lie to claim there is no evidence that "trans kids" are a threat to safety and fairness in girl's sports (or women's sports, for that matter). There are records currently being shattered by trans-identifying males who have insisted they get to compete against girls. Further, there have been injuries caused as well.
Oh, and this just happened.

Psaki is simply lying when she states there are no advantages or dangers, but she is the epitome of the upper-crust, Beltway elite who truly believe in transitioning children and forcing young girls to deal with it. These people aren't going to change their minds. They will keep trying to shame anyone who disagrees with them, and that's a good thing for Republicans. Let them cook.
