As expected, Democratic Party mouthpieces aren't exactly coping very well with Donald Trump's presidential win. You could spend all day watching various clips of Kamala Harris supporters, including those in the media who swore they haven’t chosen a side, caterwauling over the result. One late-night host even broke down into tears.

But when watching those videos, it's not just the comedic value that shines through. It's also what is shown regarding why Harris failed so miserably, and that usually comes through inadvertently, as none of these people are keen to admit they were wrong. On Friday evening, the perfect illustration of that happened on CNN.
The setup involves commentator Shermichael Singleton daring to suggest that "there are a lot of families out there who don't believe girls should play girl's sports" during a discussion on why Trump won. That's when Jay Michaelson, who claims to be a "rabbi" loses his mind. Host Abby Phillip then makes things even worse.
This @CNN clip centers on a fierce dispute over whether calling transgender girls “boys who play in girls’ sports” is a slur. The man who says it isn’t one says that most people are uncomfortable with this and this helped cost Harris this election.

SINGLETON: I think there are a lot of families who don't believe boys should play girl's sports.
MICHAELSON: They're not boys! I'm not going to listen to transphobia at this table!
SINGLETON: No, no, no, no, no...
WOMAN: It's not true...
MICHAELSON: When you call a trans girl a boy, I'm not going to listen.
SINGLETON: Are you going to allow me to finish my answer?
MICHAELSON: No, when you use a word that's a slur, I'm gonna interrupt. That's just not how it is. They're not boys.
PHILLIP: Jay, Jay, give me one second.
We are already so far off the deep end that it's hard to imagine how things could get worse. You have a supposed "rabbi" who gets triggered at the mention of biological reality, insisting that someone else is only allowed to speak if they accept his demands. That's not debate. That's censorship, and it's exactly what the left has thrived on for the last several years, especially regarding the issue of transgenderism.
This would be the point where a competent host steps in and tells Michaelson to be quiet so that Singleton can finish his point. Instead, she jumps in to lecture the latter for daring to step outside of leftwing orthodoxy on the suggested nonexistence supremacy of biology in such a discussion.
PHILLIP: Let's just reset for a second.
MICHAELSON: I'm not going to sit there and listen to that.
PHILLIP: Look, this is a really heated issue, right? And, Shermichael, I know you. I know you understand that people have different views on this. I think out of respect for Jay, like, let's try to talk about this in a way that is respectful.
SINGLETON: Okay, let me rephrase this since I'm being targeted here.
PHILLIP: Just to be clear, you are not being targted.
SINGLETON: No, no, it's okay, but I am, it's okay, it's okay.
PHILLIP: I'm specifically saying that I know you are not intending to be transphobic.
SINGLETON: He should know that.
(Crosstalk)
MICHAELSON: But I'm saying you're using a phrase that you know...
SINGLETON: So the way regular people interpreted...
MICHAELSON: That's not regular people...
SINGLETON: Which is why those ads...
MICHAELSON: That's not regular people, there's no consensus that these are actually boys. This whole thing about trans girls is a canard. We are talking about a tiny, tiny sliver of the population, and we're using that (crosstalk) to take away healthcare from thousands of people.
Notice that Phillip doesn't even consider that it's disrespectful to Singleton that he isn't allowed to have his beliefs about transgenderism. Why is respect only due in one direction?
Secondly, notice how incoherent Michaelson's argument is. He claims that there is no "consensus" despite the acceptance of biological sex as the standard being a 70-30 issue back in 2023, and there is every reason to believe that window has shifted closer to 80-20 given the election results. That may not be total agreement because humanity never is in total agreement over anything, but to pretend it's the small minority that gets to dictate the issue publicly is delusional.
Lastly, Michaelson goes from saying the existence of "trans girls" in sports is a canard because they are almost nonexistent to claiming "healthcare" is being taken away from "thousands of people." That's a game the left loves to play. When you notice something harmful and absurd, they immediately pivot to "You shouldn't even care because this isn't really an issue." Yet, in the same breath, they'll claim the issue is so important that entire sections of society must conform to its demands.
As the exchange continues, Michaelson again claims we are only talking about "five people in the entire country" while at the same time claiming immense harm comes from using the phrase "boys playing in girl's sports." He just can't make up his mind because he knows his argument is self-defeating. Of course, to finish things out, he then starts citing the American Medical Association, a far-left group that has put out some of the most insane guidance imaginable over the last decade, specifically on the issue of transgenderism and children.
Why did Trump win? That's why Trump won. Members of the far left are part of a deranged, increasingly small minority who believe they have a right to bully others into accepting their warped view of reality. People are sick of it, and they went to the polls and said enough is enough. Other than Singleton, everyone else at that table agreed with the "rabbi," and that's why Democrats will keep losing.
