Yesterday, the House wasted everyone’s time by debating over and passing a censure resolution of Rep. Paul Gosar. Did he make anti-Semitic comments or offer support for Hamas? Nah, he just shared a meme on the internet. You know, real serious stuff.

Before the vote, Rep. Lauren Boebert took the floor and delivered an absolute takedown of various Democrats, including Ilhan Omar and Eric Swalwell. As I wrote yesterday, she was dead on the money pointing out the hypocrisy being displayed.

We have a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee in Rep. Ilhan Omar who is credibly accused of marrying her brother while subsequently paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign funds to her former lover (now husband). In another instance, Rep. Rashida Tlaib defended terrorists firing rockets at children and repeated anti-Semitic claims of a false Jewish blood libel.

And lest we forget, there is also a member of the Intelligence Committee in Rep. Eric Swalwell who slept with a Chinese spy named Fang Fang and lied about it, because as you know, things always manage to get more absurd. Yet, no one in leadership is doing anything to strip any of those bad actors of their committee assignments.

That led Omar to respond in what can only be described as a true “sit this one out” moment. Seriously, the lack of self-awareness here is legendary.

Omar’s father raised her so “right” that she married her brother, at least according to multiple reports that include evidence that has never been credibly refuted, in order to commit immigration fraud. She then married another man with whom she had children. She then cheated on that husband in order to get with her campaign consultant, a man she paid over a million dollars in campaign contributions to while having the affair in question. And to finish that saga of absurdity out, Omar then married that campaign consultant, thereby giving her access to those campaign contributions as profit.

A normal person would not only be under investigation right now, they’d almost certainly already be in jail given the amount of time that has passed. But Omar struts around Congress pretending she’s not an absolute crook.

It’s not just her personal life that is at issue here, though. Omar is, simply put, a liar. Paul Gosar, regardless of what you may think of him, is not an “insurrectionist,” both because there was no “insurrection” and because he had nothing to do with the January 6th entry into the Capitol Building. She has also defiled the House of Representatives in reprehensible ways, from her policy positions to propagating antisemitism.

But Omar, of all people, is going to snark about who people sleep with and preen from her faux moral high horse? Last I checked, between her, Boebert, and Gosar, she’s the only one who committed adultery to sleep with a man she was paying campaign cash to. So yeah, Omar, of all people, should definitely sit this one out.
