Are We Witnessing the Greatest Political/Faith Movement in Modern Times?

We have already witnessed one of the most consequential political movements in our era—the advent of MAGA, its downfall, and then its stunning resurrection in the 2024 elections.

All seemed lost in 2020: MAGA leader Donald Trump had been defeated, the House and the Senate both belonged to the Democrats, and progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Chuck Schumer, the odious Adams—Kinzinger and Schiff—et al. flooded the airwaves of MSNBC and CNN with gloating promises that America would now become the country of gender politics, DEI, social justice warfare, and scorched earth warfare against Trump and the GOP.

And so it was, for a time.

One man was able to turn that around on its head in perhaps the most remarkable political comeback in history, and frankly, I can’t think of another person who could have done it.

That being said, he didn’t do it alone—it was the American people who heeded his call and woke up to what was happening and came out by the millions to say, “Enough is enough.

Didn't They Almost Have It All? VIP

Now, the depraved assassination of conservative faith leader Charlie Kirk has roiled the nation and exposed sharp dividing lines between decent people and bloodthirsty extremists. Sure, that sounds harsh—but doesn’t the evidence we’re seeing on a daily basis prove it? We have well-paid, nationally recognized pundits openly saying Kirk deserved it; we have leftists lionizing cold-blooded assassins, and we have those who fantasize about more bloodshed.

But we also have something else, some of which we saw Sunday at Kirk’s memorial service. Hundreds of thousands showed up in person, and perhaps millions more watched online or on TV. They all had one thing in common: they were done, disgusted, with the path that Democrats, socialists and leftists—insert your name for them here—want to take us down. A path of conformity, decadence, decline and hate.

But what we saw in the dark days following Kirk’s killing, and especially on Sunday, wasn’t just a political movement. No, it was something far deeper, and arguably something we have not seen in this country in many decades.

It was a mass faith movement, and it was powerful. And from every indication, it’s not going anywhere soon. Here’s White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller—never one known to mince words—bringing the heat and explaining what we’re witnessing:

The assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk has created a "righteous fury" among Republicans that people on the left cannot begin to grasp, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said during his remarks at Kirk's memorial service in Arizona on Sunday.

"The day that Charlie died, the angels all wept, but those tears have been turned into fire in our hearts. That fire burns with a righteous fury that our enemies cannot comprehend or understand," he said.

His words are tough, but in my view, they describe what we’re seeing:

"They cannot IMAGINE what they have AWAKENED! They cannot conceive of the army they have arisen in all of us!"

"And now millions will carry on his legacy! And we will devote the rest of our lives to FINISHING the causes for which Charlie gave his last measure of devotion."

"We stand for what is GOOD, virtuous and NOBLE. And to those trying to incite violence against us? ... What do YOU HAVE? You have NOTHING, you are nothing. You are wickedness, you are jealousy, you are hatred, YOU ARE NOTHING. You can build nothing, produce nothing, create nothing."

"You cannot defeat us, slow us, stop us - we will carry Charlie and Erika in our heart every single day and fight that much harder because of WHAT YOU DID TO US."

"You have no idea the dragon you awakened...how determined we will be."

I am not a young man, and I can tell you I’ve never seen anything like it in all my years. Across the country, across the world, regular people are honoring Kirk and acknowledging their faith. This video taken by my lovely bride shows a vigil in the middle of deep-blue Los Angeles, possibly one of the most progressive hotbeds on the planet. And yet here they were:

It was one of countless shrines put up in virtually every state, city and municipality in the country.

JD Vance, who spoke movingly at the memorial, admitted that he’s talked more about his faith since Charlie’s death than he has in his entire career:

I believe we’re watching something historic, something unprecedented, something that will change America and the world. It will never bring Charlie back to us—or more importantly to his wife Erika and their two young children—but it will be a grace from above if his death is not in vain. More and more Americans are waking up to the fact that the left has developed an almost satanic obsession with fringe causes and family-killing dogmas.

Charlie Kirk was not a perfect man; there is no such thing. Donald Trump paved the way for America’s resurgence and a return to the faith and vision of its founders, but Kirk’s spirit may galvanize us to reach even higher and return us to focusing on our higher selves instead of our basest instincts.

RIP, Mr. Kirk, and although you are no longer with us, know that you have changed history for the better.
