It’s been a moving celebration/commemoration of Charlie Kirk in Glendale, Arizona Sunday as tens of thousands come together to mourn his tragic assassination, yet also celebrate his memory.

Vice President JD Vance, a close friend of the slain conservative leader, took to the stage and riveted the assembled with his talk on faith, love, and even evil. He could barely get started with the deafening voices of support, but when he did, he started out with a powerful observation:

You know, I can't help but think, that they tried to silence my friend Charlie Kirk. They tried to silence our dear friend Charlie Kirk, and today, tonight, we speak with Charlie and for Charlie louder than ever.

The evil murderer who took Charlie from us expected us to have a funeral today and instead, my friends, we have had a revival in celebration of Charlie Kirk and of his Lord Jesus Christ.

Vance also spoke about how Kirk has reignited faith in so many in this country. He said that since Charlie's death, he’s been more outspoken about his own beliefs than he has been in his entire career up until now:

There was much more, including his discussion of the evil that still resides in our world.

"But for every hateful voice celebrating his murder, THERE ARE A THOUSAND people mourning it and fighting for his legacy every single day!"

He closed with a promise to Erika, Charlie, and the world that “we’ve got it from here”:

"He was murdered for speaking the truth," Vance said, calling Kirk a "friend" who wouldn't let "evil" get the better of his beliefs.

"It is better to face a gunman than live your life afraid to face the truth," Vance said.

Finishing his remarks, the vice president spoke straight to his longtime pal.

"I love you, my friend, we've got it from here," he pledged.

God bless. Watch the entire speech here:
