President Trump Remarks While Visiting D.C. Law Enforcement, National Guardsmen--and He Brought a Gift

We got word earlier on Thursday that President Trump might be spending his evening taking part in something truly unique for a U.S. president--going for a ride-along with law enforcement and military officials on the streets of Washington, D.C., as my colleague Sister Toldjah wrote. The news comes after the Trump administration has tasked federalized National Guardsmen to reinforce local law enforcement around the District, while some in the legacy media have surprisingly reported on the actual crime in D.C. of late.

Well, looks like it's more of a visit with other members of his administration, and some remarks from POTUS and several others from the White House, not a ride-along proper (which likely isn't surprising, after Trump suffered two assassination attempts).

Trump's remarks happened on Thursday evening at the United States Park Police headquarters, their Anacostia operations facility--and the crew that dropped by from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue didn't show up empty-handed. More on that shortly.

According to White House pool reports, Attorney General Pam Bondi, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Deputy White House CoS Stephen Miller, Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS) Kristi Noem, and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum joined Pres. Trump at the event.

Standing outside the facility in Anacondia, awaiting the president, were about 300 men and women from six agencies/departments--the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), the ATF, the US Marshals Service, Police HSI, DC Metropolitan Police, and the FBI--along with National Guard members.

Judge Jeanine Pirro, the newly confirmed US Attorney for the District of Columbia, told them, "You make a difference — not just for us, but for everyone in the District," adding that the citizens "are grateful for what you do":

After emerging from The Beast limousine, the president started by addressing the law enforcement members as a "healthy-looking group":

Then he got into the meat of what he was there to talk about--the WH's efforts to stamp out crime in D.C.:

Trump also spoke about fixing up the nation's parks by "regrassing" them:

Here's where the special gift Team Trump brought with them came in--a bunch of "great hamburgers" made at the White House and carry-out pizzas, which the president said he would eat with them, before they all got "back to work":

The WH press corps pool reported the pizza was from Wise Guy Pizza.

President Trump told the feds and National Guardsmen that the capital was, after just "four days, five days" in much better shape, and "it's thanks to you," the president said, vowing to keep supporting them:
