The Justice Department (DOJ) announced on Sunday that they took into custody another one of the bad guys but this time, it wasn't a pro-illegals district court jurist or an El Salvadorean illegal alien gang member, as our ally Israel transported to New York a dual U.S.-German citizen who allegedly tried to bomb our embassy in their country.

Here's what we know so far about Joseph Neumeyer, the 28-year-old man who reportedly made a bombing attempt on the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv earlier in May:

A man was arrested at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on Sunday following an alleged attempt to firebomb a branch office of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, the Justice Department said in a statement.

The man, named Joseph Neumeyer, is a dual American and German citizen and was detained in Israel on May 19 after a hostile confrontation in which Neumeyer spit on a security guard in front of the office earlier that day, according to the Justice Department.

The guard tried and failed to detain Neumeyer, who ditched the backpack he was carrying to break free, the statement said.

A search of the backpack he left behind at the embassy after the confrontation “revealed three rudimentary improvised incendiary devices commonly known as Molotov cocktails,” the statement added. Officials were able to track Neumeyer to his hotel, where he was arrested.

The DOJ said in its statement that the alleged would-be bomber posted social media threats about assassinating President Trump, as well as a more concrete one on plans to "burn down the embassy," writing. Warning, profanity:

“Join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f--- the west.”

In its report, linked above, NBC News stated it verified the bio information posted by the suspect on his social media accounts--he founded and acts as the CEO for Atlas Light Company; the outlet included as a disclaimer that it's unclear "what the company does, and Neumeyer claims to have founded a number of startups."

If the suspect is convicted, he could receive up to a 20-year prison sentence. You can read the full DOJ statement here.

The arrest of Neumeyer comes in the wake of the horrific recent killings of two Israeli embassy staffers at Washington, D.C.'s Capital Jewish Museum, as we covered extensively.
