On Fox News Live Sunday, former South Carolina representative Trey Gowdy marveled at the supreme goofiness of Adam Schiff.

I touched on said absurdity earlier in the week, and if you didn’t see it, pleeease watch Tucker Carlson rip Adam to shreds here.

Rep. Mike Conaway recently requested that Schiff step down as chair of the House Intelligence Committee on account of his synapses seeming to fire solely with the repeated chant “COLLUSION COLLUSION COLLUSION COLLUSION COLLUSION COLLUSION” (here).

Trey had thoughts:

“Never seen that before. We never voted to remove or ask a chairperson to step down.”

It’s something he knows a bit about — Gowdy served on the committee until January.

How else might Congress deal with unhinged Adam? Trey noted that Speaker Pelosi could remove him from the intel panel, or the intelligence agencies could simply stop telling him anything:

“The next thing that’s going to happen is the…different intelligence entities are going to say, ‘You know what, Chairman Schiff? If you don’t believe the information we provide to you…”

The former congressman made a solid seafarer reference, related to Adam’s alleged leaks to media:

“…If you have the President of the United States, not just indicted but in jail, and you continue to leak like a screen door on a submarine, we’re going to quit giving you information.”

I must say, though — Trey then lost me:

“That’s when Pelosi will replace Adam Schiff with someone like (Connecticut Rep.) Jim Himes, who is someone who is smarter and a lot more reasonable.”

Does he wanna rethink that?
