The Democrat Lunatics Have Taken Over the New York City Asylum

As Ronald Reagan once said, “You know, by the time you reach my age, you've made plenty of mistakes if you've lived your life properly.” And recently, I made a doozy of a mistake. And I certainly have a lot of egg on my face to show for it.

As does the Democrat Party. It seems they really, really want to run the radical Muslim socialist, criminal lover, and raging antisemite named Zohran Mamdani for mayor of New York City.

So, they have.

A few months ago, Mamdani was recorded attacking security and screaming hysterically at the U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan, in an attempt to keep another radical Muslim raging antisemite in the U.S., despite the latter not even being a U.S. citizen and having led riots and other criminal acts in the U.S. that endangered Americans. And the Democrats in New York City saw that and decided that, yes, that is the guy we want to represent us!

And a Democrat appointed judge has decided that the non-citizen, crazy radical Muslim rioter has to stay, as well.

Unfortunately for moderate New York City residents, it will not be easy to stop the crazy, radical Muslim socialist criminal lover express train. In 2024, in New York City, the Democrat candidate for president won 70 percent. In 2022, in New York City, the Democrat candidate for NY governor won 70 percent. And in 2021, the Democrat candidate for New York City mayor, Eric Adams, won almost 70 percent of the vote.

Of course, Mayor Eric Adams is still on the ballot. But he is running as an independent, having been hobbled by a corruption case which made it impossible to win the Democrat primary. Moderates could flock to him. But they didn’t flock to Andrew Cuomo, who pretty much was in the same boat. And Cuomo is still on the ballot, as is the Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa, who lost to Adams in 2021, and another independent. But it will be tough to derail the crazy Mamdani train with any of those candidates.

However, there are a few important lessons all political observers should take from all this.

  1. The Democrat base really is radically left-wing.

  2. The Democrats are still stuck in that doom loop where they are talking to themselves and promoting the same crazy anti-Trump and radically left propaganda that didn’t work before in another attempt to force moderates to support it. The moderates won’t, but in New York City, there may be enough Democrat radicals to win anyway. This doom loop could eventually lead them to a national party collapse.

  3. Nationally, the GOP is going to “pounce” – as MSM articles always say when Republicans take advantage of Democrat political stupidity – and run against Mamdani and the Democrats, as long as he is a viable political figure. This will not be good for the Democrats in the long run.

  4. If Mamdani wins, New York City will have, as my RedState colleagues have written, ahem… major economic and other problems and a huge outflow of business and population.

Also, speaking specifically to my own ethnic/religious group, the American Jewish community, I hope we also learn something important from this. In an earlier column, I discussed the wise sage Hillel and his advice for all (people). He said, “If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?” By nominating Zohran Mamdani, the Democrats have made it clear that they are not for us, and that they do not even respect us, in the slightest. Mamdani is a guy who vocally supports Hamas, a Muslim Brotherhood group that hates and massacres Jews (and other non-Muslims as well). If American Jews won’t stand up for themselves – the very first part of the quote from Hillel – and oppose Mamdani and his Democrat party (which is supporting him), who will be for them?

No one.  Because humankind is nothing more than a more advanced form of gorilla, which is more likely to support the bully rather than the bullied.

And if their answer is “but Trump…”, then all they are saying is that they are not for themselves. Which is incredibly dangerous.

We live in perilous times, people.
